Lucky fans who bagged tickets to the Oasis reunion tour next summer might be forgiven for feeling a little nervous. Squabbling siblings Liam and Noel Gallagher seem to have finally put their differences aside some 15 years after the band first split.
The Manchester brothers’ feud is among the most infamous in music history. But despite countless legendary and ferocious battles, a surprising figure has been credited with bringing them back together.
Debbie Gwyther, Liam’s fiancée and manager of ten years, is described by insiders as a “brilliant businesswoman who doesn’t take any s***.” Raised in Stevenage, she has long been a music industry titan.

The 40-year-old runs a PR firm and her own party lifestyle has been well-documented over the years. And now, a source close to the band has claimed Gwyther was the driving force behind the Gallagher’s reconciliation.
The source told the Daily Mail: “Debbie knows what’s best for Liam. She is strict with him. Not only is she his girlfriend but she is his manager so she knows exactly what needs to be done.”
They continued: “It’s hard to imagine this ever having happened without her. She should work for the UN with those skills.”
Liam went on to have an illustrious solo career after Oasis’ break-up, but his rock ‘n’ roll antics seem to be a thing of the past. Days of smashed instruments and hotel room destruction appear to have been replaced by a quieter lifestyle.
According to reports, the era-defining frontman now limits himself to one beer each gig and is tucked up in bed by midnight. Gwyther is said to have helped him embrace a more sober and balanced life – one fans will be hoping keeps the newly reformed Oasis’ show on the road.
Gwyther was said to have come onto the scene with a fresh pair of eyes and zero baggage. The source added she loves Liam’s mum, Peggy, and wanted the brothers to smooth things over for her sake.
This week, a famous Oasis tribute band said there was no reason the Manchester siblings could not save the world, the Daily Star previously reported. Drummer of AIsis Jon Claire said the Gallaghers could be parachuted into conflict zones to unite the planet through music.
He said: “Let’s face it, if the Gallaghers can bury the hatchet why can’t everyone else in the world? Maybe Oasis could sort out Russia and Ukraine. They should play a concert for peace right on the border.”
