‘I was homeless after Big Brother and delivered parcels – but men still love my knockers’

Celebrity Big Brother returned this week – and one woman who found fame on the show 16 years ago is keeping a close eye on the drama.

Lisa Appleton is giving her hot takes on Apple Radio and she said she was “super excited” to analyse what the star-studded cast gets up to.

Replying to her Instagram post, one of her fans said they “hope everything is going well” for Lisa – who has suffered numerous setbacks since leaving the iconic house in 2008.

But despite having her marriage and life destroyed by a conman and being forced to deliver parcels for Amazon – the resilient star continues to please her loyal fans by selling “racy glamorous pictures and videos”.

Lisa became a Big Brother legend on season nine when she embraced reality TV alongside her then boyfriend Mario Marconi – who proposed to her on the show.

But she became one of the most talked about contestants in history after accidentally cutting herself when she escaped the house for a pint and a kebab – earning her the “Kim Kardashian of Warrington” nickname.

Lisa was in demand and quickly earned hundreds of thousands of pounds alongside Mario, who she married, and signed brand deals and made public appearances to bolster her bank balance further.

But things started to crumble without her even knowing when now convicted conman Selva Carmicahel duped the newlyweds into a string of fake deals.

The fraudster had the pair believing they were filming their own reality TV series and that they would make huge profits from lucrative magazine deals – but it was all bogus.

Opening up to Daily Star in a previous interview, Lisa told us: “The show includes footage from the fly-on-the wall documentary that we shot when we were getting conned.

“Selva was nothing more than a conman. When he disappeared we were penniless and homeless, we had nothing. We had banked on the show to bring in money. It left a devastation of emotions behind – I had a total breakdown.”

Lisa, now 55, added: “There was times that I was so low I thought about giving up. I had no money and I was signing on – he destroyed my life, confidence and dignity. It affected my mental state so much, it got to the point where I wasn’t enjoying my life any more.”

After enduring so much heartache, Lisa and Mario divorced in 2013 and the bubbly Big Brother star had to rebuild her life from scratch.

Lisa has maintained her social media presence in recent years but after the pandemic she struggled to keep up with bills because of the cost of living crisis.

She landed a job at Amazon where she was instructed to deliver 167 parcels a day. And speaking to The Sun, she said: “Obviously with the lockdown, a lot of my projects at the time got cancelled.

“So in the meantime, because of the cost of living crisis and stuff like that, food has gone up, everything has gone up. I can’t believe the prices sometimes, they have added a pound on to things. Electricity has gone up so I thought as a boost to my income I would get a job at Amazon.”

Lisa trained with Amazon for four days before being sent out on the streets alone and she later opened up to Closer magazine about why the gruelling shifts were not worth it.

She said: “I thought Amazon would suit me because I just wanted to be adventurous and travel, but it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest.

“I was rained on all day, and a lot of the time they’re not in and you have to knock at up to six neighbours. I thought, ‘I’ll be here all day’. Then you need to see if they want to leave it behind the fence of the bin or wherever.

“People kept wanting selfies with me and we had a little chat and stuff, which was lovely, but everything went up – my stress levels, my blood pressure, my heart rate. I lost 2st just running from house to house. I hope I haven’t lost too much though, I like to be curvy.”

But despite letting her job at Amazon go, she recently found work with a True Crime documentary called Hollywood Files. And like a host of other reality TV stars, she also pockets a regular income by selling titillating snaps on OnlyFans.

Last year she spoke to Closer about the attention she gets from subscribers and said she was “flattered and grateful” that blokes still find her attractive despite “so many fit birds” being out there.

She added: “They’ve all seen my knockers and they all give me compliments. They’re all young men. You should see my private messages. The amount of people who want to take me out for a meal, it’s really tickled me.

“They say, ‘I will sweep you off your feet’, ‘Sweetie, you’re just so beautiful’ and all of this. There are hundreds of them.”

One of her most recent X/Twitter posts shows her bent down on all fours while wearing red lingerie. Teasing her followers, she wrote: “For all my exclusive racy glamorous pictures and videos head over to OnlyFans subscribe.”
