A legendary British comedian has begged to be let into Gary Barlow’s “tall son’s club”.
Tommy Cannon, who made his name in the 80s and 90s, shared in the fun as the country is left in awe at Gary Barlow’s oldest son Daniel. The youngster, 24, became a viral sensation when his Take That singer father Gary shared a snap of him, leading many to realise how tall he was.
Taking to his social media earlier this week, Gary posted a rare snap of his family, as he congratulated Daniel on his latest career achievements. But after this, the family became a meme as users began to make jokes about huge height difference.

However, it appears that Gary is not the only famous face with a tall son, as comedy legend Tommy chipped in with his own offspring. In a post uploaded to his Twitter account, the funnyman shared a snap of him and his son Luke towering above him.

Clocking in at a massive 6ft 6, Luke beamed with smiles in the pic at a family event with Tommy, who measures a respectable 5ft 11. Tommy opted to have some fun with his post as he called Gary out directly, penning: “Gary Barlow, can I join the giant son club?”
Luke himself also weighed in on the situation, and retweeted the post from his doting dad to clarify things. He wrote: “It’s me, I’m the tall son; appreciate all the compliments as well!
“Nice Thursday to have!” he exclaimed, before adding: “Just to clarify Dad is 5ft something, and I’m 6ft6.” Fans of the comedian were quick to follow son Luke on the platform, who now has a total of 2,390 followers.

Adding to the laughs, Luke went on to share another snap of the pair, standing in the living room of the family home with the pair smiling happily for the camera. Son Luke wrote in the caption of the snap: “Another picture to clarify how tall I actually am,” before tagging his dad and adding the hashtags #TallSonClub and #CannonandTall.
Tommy and Luke’s fun comes as the original snap uploaded by Relight My Fire singer Gary Barlow has been seen a total of 6million times. However, the difference in height is not the only thing the father and son duo have split on, as Daniel has opted to stay out of the limelight.
In an old interview with the Mirror, Gary explained: “The two oldest ones, Daniel and Emily, have kind of gone into medicine and physiology – studying strength and conditioning. And my youngest one, Daisy, I’m not too sure what she’s heading for but again, she’s very studious… unlike me and my wife.
“I don’t think they will follow in my music footsteps but I wouldn’t have discouraged them though if they did want to, it’s been a good business for me,” he added. “Every day I still enjoy what I do and when you realise you’re making a living from it, it’s a great, great place to be.
