Tulisa’s love life has been full of ups and downs, and now the I’m A Celebrity sensation has come out as demisexual. The N-Dubz icon, aged 36, says she’s had her fair share of flings, but ain’t about to get jiggy without an emotional connect.
Not just a pretty face, the pop princess also confessed to being celibate for a whopping three years. Spilling the beans to DJ Dean McCullough in the jungle, Tulisa got real about what gets her ticking. Dean was like: “I actually do enjoy being single, I enjoy being on my own.”
While Corrie hunk Alan Halsall chimed in with: “I’ve never done dating apps, I don’t even know what I’d do!” Dean then threw a cheeky glance at Tulisa asking: “We’ve done them all, haven’t we babes,” reports the Mirror. But Tulisa hit back, saying: “No I’ve only done Raya.”

The former X Factor judge laid it bare, confessing: “I’m not really a dater, even though I’ve been on there, I’ve never gone on an actual date with anyone on there… I’m proper guarded.”

Then she dropped the demi bombshell: “I feel like I’m demi-sexual, I need to have a really close emotional bond with someone.” Dean summed it up: “You need meaning babe,”. Tulisa agreed: “I need actual depth.”
And just when you thought it couldn’t get more intimate, she added: “I’m a slow, slow burner, I’ve been celibate for over three years.” Dean was eager to drill down on Tulisa’s thoughts about her celibate life. She dished the dirt: “I’m not an overly sexualised person. For me, it’s all about the connection and the emotions that I feel with someone and then wanting to express them in that way.”
The thought of random hook-ups turns her stomach—Tulisa quipped, “This is my temple, you cannot enter! ” setting the camp off into fits of giggles. Alan cheekily added, “It sounds like a Bushtucker Trial where you’ve gotta find a key to Tulisa’s temple!”
The celeb’s love life has been eventful with high profile romances. She got cosy with N-Dubz mate Fazer, also known as Richard Rawson, before entering a fleeting romance with Shameless actor Jody Latham.
The X Factor judge also dates Skins star Jack O’Connell in 2012 but split due to “incompatible work schedules”. The stunner’s name was next joined with Greek-Cypriot millionaire Costas Panayiotou in 2014. Recently, Tulisa sparked rumours when spotted with music producer David King at Cher’s plush Malibu pad.

Before diving into the jungle frenzy, Tulisa spilled the beans on her joyous single life to the Mirror, quipping: “I don’t think I’ll be quiet when I’m in there, because when I’m on, I’m on. In terms of, like, when there are people there, I’m not going to sit and be a misery guard. And when I’m socialising, I socialise to the fullest. So I would come across as like a total extrovert.
“It’s just when I have the choice, and I’m at home, for instance, I want to spend a small amount of my time socialising, and the rest I’ll spend on my own, but there is no choice in there. And when I do socialise, I socialise to the fullest, but I might need moments where I need to go off and have quiet time.”
