ITV confirms return of fan-favourite reality series – but there’s a long wait

ITV has announced that one of its major reality game shows The Fortune Hotel, is set to return for a second series.

The show, hosted by comedian Stephen Mangan, quickly became a huge success when it first launched earlier this year.

Viewers get to see ten pairs of contestants go head to head in sunny Grenada as they attempt to get a suitcase containing a life changing £250k cash prize inside. In the ultimate cat and mouse game, players will be swapping and changing their cases all the while keeping quiet on the exact contents of their case.

The new series will resume filming in its luxury Caribbean home later this year and it will air across ITV1 and ITVX in 2025.

The first series managed to grip fans as it reached a high of 3.1million views and has continued to command an audience across ITVX, with 5.9million streams.

Highly acclaimed by viewers and the Press, we’re thrilled to be bringing this wonderful show back for a second season.”

Contestants Jo-Anne and Will won the first series of The Fortune Hotel. The mother-son duo were left speechless when they walked away with an impressive £210,000 cash prize.

Alongside them in the final was close pals Jae and Cherish, and married couple Aysha and Samm. In a shock twist, the pair decided to donate £5,000 from their winnings to fellow contestants Samm and Aysha.
