Emmerdale’s Tom King is set to ramp up his sinister antics against Belle Dingle, as the latest twist in their chilling storyline unfolds.
Belle Dingle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, dumped Tom (portrayed by James Chase) this week after a series of creepy happenings at their Welsh holiday pad. For ages, Tom’s been playing mind games and giving Belle the creeps.
Wednesday’s nail-biting episode (July 24) showed a petrified Belle legging it for her life while Tom kept up his nasty streak. She managed to bolt back to the village, thinking she’d escaped his clutches.
But when she nipped back to pick up her stuff from the place she shared with Tom, she found him lurking like a bad smell.
“I will kill you before I let you leave this house,” Tom snarled at Belle, trying to block her getaway. But Belle stood her ground, warning the twisted bloke that if he laid a finger on her, Cain would be out for blood, reports the Manchester Evening News.
After making a break for it to Lydia’s, Belle spilled the beans to her fam that she was done with Tom. Later, while having a moment with her mum Lisa’s urn, she didn’t clock that Tom was spying on her from afar.
Next week’s episodes are set to take an even darker turn. Despite Belle giving Tom the boot, he’s still skulking around, keeping his eyes peeled but staying out of arm’s reach.
As Vinny and Belle patch things up with a heart-to-heart and a comforting hug, Tom watches them from a distance, fuming. Following this, Tom starts to twist his aunt Nicola’s understanding of the situation, suggesting that Belle is romantically involved with Vinny, thereby painting Belle in a negative light.
Before long, Nicola unknowingly invites Tom to stay at her house. At the same time, Tom suggests to Belle that she could move back into their old home as he has already paid the rent, making it seem like a kind offer.
However, what Belle doesn’t know is that Tom has arranged for a secret key when the locksmith changes the locks for her. Alone after a mental health appointment, Belle begins to wonder if she is being subjected to manipulation.
Emmerdale broadcasts weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm.
