Former Match of the Day pundit and The One Show host Jermaine Jenas’ heartfelt message to his followers on social media was upstaged by his ‘sh*tting’ dog.
Sacked last month by the BBC due to ‘inappropriate behaviour’, the former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has stayed away from the spotlight. The married pundit had been sexting women who were not his wife Ellie Penfold, and is even alleged to have sent an events host a ‘d*** pic’ while working for the national broadcaster whilst working at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
However, after staying silent for over a month, Jenas took to Instagram to thank his followers on social media who had supported him following his sacking by the BBC. “Hello you lot,” Jenas began on his Instagram story.

“Obviously been missing for a while on the socials…” Almost as soon as Jenas began to launch into what he wanted to say, he then turned to his squatting dog who began doing his business. “It’s the timing,” said Jenas jokingly incredulous.
“Like, I’m trying to say something important and he decides to take a sh*t. I’ll come back to you, I’ve got to pick this up.” Then after having picked up his dog’s dirt, Jenas continued: “I thought it was important for me to jump on here actually and just talk to you lot and just say thank you for the level of support that you’ve shown me.
“It’s clearly been a difficult period for me but one that I’ll definitely grow from. We’re human beings, that’s what it is. You’ll learn from it. You’ll become a better person. Those are the things that are important in life.
“None of us are perfect and we’ve just got to find a way to keep moving forward, look after our babies and our families in the best way we possibly can. That’s something that I’ll be trying to do. Mainly [I wanted to say] thank you, really. It’s been really nice, the level of support you’ve shown me.
“It’s been a nice eye-opener as well. I kind of lost connection with my followers along the way and it’s been nice to reconnect with a lot of who’ve been kind enough to send me messages. I’ve tried to get back to as many of you as I possibly can and I will continue to do so.”
