Katie Price eyes up flogging Mucky Mansion to cash in on ‘dream house’ up north

Katie Price is reportedly planning to selling her so-called “Mucky Mansion” in order to buy her dream home up north.

The model and businesswoman, 45, is looking to move some 230 miles to the other end of the country to cash in on her ideal home in Yorkshire. However, it comes following her declaration of bankruptcy for the second time.

Insiders close to the star have revealed she has been looking at some properties up north and admitted she was smitten with a mansion near Wakefield in West Yorkshire. The luxury pad has six bedrooms, four bathrooms, an indoor pool, a gym, a cinema room and views of a nearby golf course.

But with a price tag of a whopping £2.5million, Katie is now finding ways to get the money to cash in on her “dream home” – including putting her Mucky Mansion up for sale. The property near Horsham in West Sussex is already falling into disrepair after the Pricey left the house to move in with then-partner Carl Woods.

To help make up the money, it is believed that JJ Slater, Katie’s current flame and Married at First Sight star, will stick his own home on the market. The pair will then make the move from Essex into their luxurious new pad, should the deal go through.

Locals in Wakefield, however, are not best pleased with Katie’s plans to uproot herself and head north. One resident told The Sun: “The circus is coming to town – -I’m sure she’s lovely, but there’s drama wherever she goes.

“Maybe that’s why she’s moving — for a bit of peace and quiet. It’s a lovely area and we’ll welcome her.”

A source close to Katie said that she was “sick of the Mucky Mansion and sees no future there now”. They added: “She wants to move into her dream home and she reckons this could be it.”

However, the insider was realistic in how the reality legend could afford such a move. “Quite how it would work given her financial problems is a mystery, but she’s got it in her head this is happening.”

Katie has now declared herself bankrupt for a second time, owing £762k in unpaid tax to HMRC. The first time was back in 2019, which is a far cry for the Pricey, who was once valued to have a net worth of over £45m.
