Katie Price said she was being “treated like a criminal” as she prepares to be detained at the airport after flying to Turkey.
An arrest warrant issued for the mum-of-five after she failed to show up for her latest bankruptcy hearing. The former glamour model had been due to face questions about her finances at a London hearing on Tuesday (July 30).
Pricey was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and again in March this year due to an unpaid tax bill worth over £750k. The star was warned she would face an arrest warrant if she failed to attend the latest court hearing.

Now the reality star has spoken out about her upcoming arrest and has begged officers to treat her and her son Harvey with “dignity” when she is arrested. She took to Instagram to share her fears upon returning to the UK from Turkey.
In a lengthy statement, she wrote: “I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest. Despite what has been misreported, I am now in route back from filming my documentary.”
The court had heard that the TV personality had travelled to Turkey – and a now deleted Instagram Story showed her eating a sandwich on a flight. Her boyfriend, Married At First Sight UK star JJ Slater, shared a snap inside a five-star hotel in Turkey.
She subsequently flew to Turkey for a reported £10,000 facelift and was pictured arriving at a clinic in a white crop top, leopard print tracksuit bottoms and a Louis Vuitton handbag. Photos later revealed her in a surgical gown before she underwent the surgery
Katie shared the grisly photos of the procedure on Instagram at the time. The starlet insisted that she flew to Turkey for work as part of an upcoming project.
She argued: “I was never just abroad being ignorant to what’s going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there have been miscommunications here between a number of people here to do with my bankruptcy.
“However now I am returning home from work, & I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary. I do hope of course for my son’s sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see.
“Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter, I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.” She went on to plead with trolls online to leave her alone as she opened up about how she found herself claiming bankruptcy for a second time this March.
Katie continued: “I would like to point out once again that this is to do with a very uncomfortable financial circumstance which as hard as it has been does not make a [me] a criminal or a bad person.
“Millions of people suffer losses and go through bankruptcy’s, through many different reasons and mine was due to serious mental health issues and breakdowns from PTSD. Whilst it’s been hard, I repeatedly will stand by the fact I am not embarrassed or ashamed that this has happened to me.
“People lose their lives every day over the embarrassment and fear of these situations and the public bullying I’ve endured on this matter is simply just not ok. I will continue to speak out on this and not be ashamed.”
The Celebrity Big Brother winner added: “I have and am continuing to pay back debtors as ordered by the court. I will address this with the police and courts when I land and I ask for my son Harvey’s sake it’s handled with care and compassion.
“I am after all only a human being. I appreciate all of you that continue to show me love, it means a lot. Kate.”
It comes after Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Catherine Burton revealed Katie had received “very clear warnings” that she must attend the hearing. A judge at a previous hearing warned the TV star that she must provide substantial evidence explaining her absence if she didn’t attend the hearing.
When Katie didn’t turn up, she took to her Instagram Stories to explain all to her fans. She wrote: “I have to continue my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now.”
