Imagine this: You’re buzzing for a lush dinner after a long day at work, only to find your parents have crushed your hopes by changing their minds. We’ve all been there, right?

Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall knows the feeling all too well and has come up with the perfect response to a woman who was feeling that heartbreak. The sassy singer-songwriter, who’s a member the girl band since 2011, is also a bit of a joker, regularly leaving fans in stitches with her cheeky banter online.

Recently, the 31-year-old was seen sarcastically responding to the original post by @rhea_leegoodcontent featured Rhea, fresh from her shift at Primark in Manchester, absolutely devastated. She was promised a banging roast dinner with all the works by her mum, but when she got home, she was met with a massive letdown.

The clip, which went viral with over 7.4million views, hears her say: “Don’t make promises you can’t keep because this morning my mum was saying, she’s going to make me a Sunday dinner. I thought, ‘oh, that’s really nice of you. You’re a star because it’s really hot outside and you’re doing God’s work. Mum, I love you so much’.

“Get to work. I’m bragging about getting a Sunday dinner tonight. Can’t wait. Buzzing. Gets me through my shift. She was going on about carrots, parsnips, mash, the whole shebang and I was buzzing. Get home after an hour and something commute. Get home. She’s making a f***ing salad.”

Devastating! And hundreds of viewers agreed including Thirlwall who decided to troll her in the best way possible.

The star’s video gained more than 115,000 likes as she filmed herself chopping veg, sarcastically making peace signs as the chicken was roasting and acting devastated when the woman revealed she was getting a salad instead. In the caption, she added: “Life can be so cruel sometimes.”

TikTok viewers thought the clip was hilarious, with one user writing: “That roast looks banging. and there’s no comparison between a Sunday dinner and salad! I would weep too.”

Another added: “The most British problem ever,” while a third commented: “Jade I’d love to try one of your roasts look banging hun x.”
