Loose Women star Sophie Morgan has been inundated with support as she announced a major move in her life.
The panellist is moving to the US to focus on her disability advocacy over there and will be working with Hollywood royalty such as Reese Witherspoon. Her upcoming documentary will be made with Reese Witherspoon’s production company.
After she shared the news, friends and followers were quick to share in her excitement. Fellow Loose Woman Katie Piper said: “Excited to see what you do next.”

Charlene White said: “LA is lucky to have you! So many exciting things ahead.” And Strictly star Tess Daly said: “You’re smashing it Sophie, well done and I can’t wait to see what you do next!”
She updated fans with a lengthy post on social media. Sophie, 38, stated: “I also wanted to update you on the latest with Loose Women. Whilst I had an incredible time working there (it was a dream platform for a disabled woman with a lot to say), the time has come to part ways.
“I am very proud to have been part of their groundbreaking work, including campaigns such as ‘Body Stories’ – which celebrated body diversity & confidence – ‘Facing It Together’ – a campaign about domestic abuse – & of course, my baby, ‘Rights on Flights’, which was born on the show last year.
“Firstly, as some of you know, it has been a dream of mine to live and work in the US for some time now, & it has finally become a reality. I find life here so accessible; I feel like a different person, more free and less disabled – thanks partly to the ADA, the weather and the general positivity! I will be based between LA & London for the foreseeable & am excited to continue sharing my adventures with you all.”
Sophie was left paralysed from the chest down after a car crash at 18. She previously told The Sun: “I wasn’t drunk, I was just driving like an idiot.
“I’d only had my licence a few months, so I wasn’t particularly experienced. Because the car was full of my friends I was a bit distracted and it was late at night, about 3 or 4 in the morning on country lanes. It was a perfect storm for a crash really.”
Twenty years on from her accident, she reflected on the event and said: “Back at the beginning, everyone told me there were so many things I couldn’t do, shouldn’t do, and wouldn’t do.
“And I was like, ‘Hold on a minute. Why not?’ and every year I set the goal a little bit higher and make the goalposts a little bit wider.”
