Love Island’s Jordan Hames was bursting with pride after his brother made history at the Euros.
The reality TV star, who graced screens in 2019, and his family jetted off to Dortmund for the nail-biting Euro 2024 semi-final. England locked horns with the Netherlands in a tense match that would decide who would face Spain over the weekend.
However, it seemed Lady Luck was wearing an England shirt as Gareth Southgate’s lads clinched a 2-1 victory.

Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins netted the final goal of the match, propelling England into the final. This came after the Dutch team had dominated most of the game, with Xavi Simon scoring the first goal of the evening before Harry Kane levelled the score with a penalty.
Jordan, 29, took to Instagram post-match to toast the Three Lions’ triumph. Sharing a photo with his brother Kobbie Mainoo and other family members, the model couldn’t hide his joy, reports the Mirror.
“Proudest in the damn world, Berlin next,” he captioned the post, which also featured Ollie Watkins greeting relatives in the stands.
His post quickly racked up more than 15,000 likes and was inundated with congratulatory messages. “He’s a f***ing star,” one fan gushed.
Another added: “He is the best honestly so much talent and so much more to come our star boy for both United and England. So proud Kobbie.”
“Keep looking after our star boy Kobbie Mainoo,” chimed in another fan. Meanwhile, an enthusiastic supporter wrote: “What a player so proud of Mainoo.”
The 19-year-old Manchester United prodigy, born in Stockport, has made history playing alongside Declan Rice in England’s midfield.
With the highest pass accuracy recorded by Opta at 96%, he’s completed an impressive 133 out of 138 passes in this tournament.
CBS’ James Benge noted that among the 132 players who have completed more than 100 passes at the Euros, Kobbie ranks 131st for the proportion of forward passes with 13%. Mainoo made his senior debut for England in their match against Brazil, earning high praise from teammate Declan Rice who believes the “sky is the limit” for the young talent.
Rice said: “Every time I’ve seen him playing for United on the TV, he has been pretty much their best player every game. I’ve been asked a lot by my friends ‘What’s Mainoo like? ‘ – and he’s really, really impressive. I really want him to enjoy his career. I think it’s really important that we don’t put too much pressure on him.
“He’s at one of the biggest clubs in the world, and now he’s at England we just want to let him flourish. He’s so composed. I have come across so many 18-year-olds who are top players but don’t have that full package. He’s just a really normal kid. The sky is the limit for him. He’s an amazing player and I am looking forward to hopefully playing many games for England with him.”
