Love Island winner Jack Fincham ‘would love to go back’ ahead of all-stars series

Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has admitted he “would love to go back” on the ITV dating show ahead of the new all-stars series.

Fincham, 31, came out on top at the end of the 2018 series when he and Dani Dyer won the public vote. They also bagged a cool £25k each when they decided to split the prize money between themselves.

However, despite a rocky run outside the villa, Jack and Dani eventually called time on their relationship in April of 2019 after “trying to make it work”. Allegations were also made that Jack’s potential father-in-law Danny Dyer was not the biggest fan of the cheeky chap.

But now the dad-of-one has returned to his old job, becoming a salesman in the stationery shop he had worked in when he was younger. However, in a recent interview, Jack revealed he would not turn his back on Love Island.

Jack, speaking to BritishGambler.co.uk, said he would happily return to the show to try and find love for a second time. “I would love to go back on Love Island!” he quipped.

“It’s the ultimate place to meet someone, and I fell in love on there! It really is,” he continued. “I know some couples split up but just look at the amount of people that are still together after the show, there’s a few that are married.

“It creates the perfect environment, so I’d love to have the opportunity to go back in there. And I’d be brilliant!”

He also said that the show was an incredible learning curve for himself and that Islanders do actually face how they process emotions, especially with no contact with the outside world. He added: “You find both your strengths and weaknesses because it’s just your true self.”

However, despite saying he would love to go back to the show, he would not do it straight away due to a desire to having a “selfish” year. He added that due to being in the public eye for so long, he started to become disoriented on what people thought of him, which led to irresponsible decisions – something he does not want to cause in 2024.

“Rather than get caught up with things or panic about it, take a breather and don’t dwell on it,” he explained. “Getting over the victim mentality is the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Amongst the line-up of returning Islanders are Jake Cornish, Chris Taylor and Liberty Poole. The first episode will be broadcast on both ITV1 and ITV2 at the same time before the remainder of the season will be aired on ITV2.
