Mick Jagger’s lookalike son follows in dad’s footsteps as he shows off dance moves

Mick Jagger’s lookalike son Deveraux is following in his famous footsteps.

The seven-year-old youngster was seen copying some of his signature dance moves backstage at a Rolling Stones gig over the weekend. On Wednesday (July 3), Mick’s girlfriend Melanie Hamrick filmed his son headbashing and jumping along to the music backstage.

Deveraux could be heard screaming some of the famous lyrics as he showed off his impressive dance moves. And it’s fair to say the young Jagger was the spitting image of his dad in the early days of the rock band.

Mick’s moves are arguably just as famous as some of his hit singles, so much so that a song was later named after them. Deveraux is the youngest of 80-year-old Mick’s eight children, with the eldest aged 52.

Speaking about fatherhood, the rocker gushed: “I have this really wonderful family that supports me. And I have, you know, young children – that makes you feel like you’re relevant.”

Mick became a father for the first time with actress Marsha Hunt in 1970 when they welcomed their daughter Karis, 52. The following year, he tied the knot to ex-wife Bianca Jagger who gave birth to their daughter, Jade, 51.

The singer also shares four children with his ex-wife Jerry Hall. The couple said ‘I Do’ in 1990 and welcomed daughters Elizabeth, 39, and Georgia May, 31, and sons James, 38, and Gabriel, 25, before their separation in 1997.

He welcomed son Lucas, 24, with model Luciana Morad Gimenez in 1999 before he welcomed Deveraux with his current girlfriend Melanie in 2017. The singer is also a great-grandfather after his granddaughter Assisi Jackson gave birth to a baby girl in 2021.

The famous frontman proved that age is just a number as he took to the stage in Chicago in June during the American leg of the group’s Hackney Diamonds Tour. Mick put on an energetic display as he took to the stage alongside guitarist Keith Richards, 80, and bassist Ronnie Wood, 77.

For the show-stopping performance, Mick sported a burgundy leather jacket which he layered over a shimmery matching top underneath. He teamed the look with a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of matching black trainers.

It was clear to see the frontman was in his element as he showcased his moves and dazzled the crowd by performing some of their most iconic tunes. Keith and Ronnie supported him as they displayed their rocker skills during an electric performance at Soldier Field.

In April, Mick confessed he still struggles to perform without the band’s late drummer Charlie Watts following his death in 2021. Charlie sadly passed away at the age of 80 following complications during emergency heart surgery.

Steve Jordan has since taken Charlie’s place on the drums, but Sir Mick says he still misses taking to the stage without his old pal behind him. Charlie first joined the Stones in 1963 with Sir Mick, Keith Richards and Brian Jones before they went on to become one of the most successful rock groups of all time.

According to The Mirror, Sir Mick said at the time: “Of course, it’s hard. I mean, it’s all my life ever since I was 19 or whatever, it’s always been Charlie. Of course, it’s emotional, but you have to get past that in life.

“I love Charlie and all the things, but I still want to carry on making music.” Bandmate Keith Richards added: “It was because of Charlie’s demise that we felt that if the Stones were going to continue, then we better make a mark of what the Stones are now.”

The band have now been on the road touring for more than 60 years. Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter.
