Molly-Mae Hague’s new business ‘rings alarm bells’ but could rake in huge fortune

Molly-Mae Hague is launching her very own fashion line – but what could this ultimately mean for the star?

The Love Island beauty, 25, will be releasing her new brand Maebe to the world at the end of the month and fans have already gone wild online as they share how “proud” they are of the star.

Speaking on behalf of Betfred, Celebrity PR Specialist Kayley Cornelius shared how this new venture could position her for multi-million-pound success, but also put her at potential risk if she decides to brand the line as a premium label.

Kayley exclusively said: “A clothing line could set Molly-Mae up for multi-million-pound success. From being the former Creative Director of Pretty Little Thing to leading major fashion trends that sell out products in high street shops, she’s proven she’s more than qualified to launch a clothing line of her own, making it a very savvy move.x

“However, this venture could ring alarm bells for competitors in the industry. Molly-Mae knows how to sell a product and a lifestyle to her fan base, which is what makes her so appealing to the retailers she promotes in her content. If she were to release her own fashion brand, she would be less likely to promote other businesses, and brands could increasingly find themselves replaced by her own label, especially as she expands her products and offerings.

“This could spell trouble for high-street retailers as they rely on influencers like Molly to make their products go viral and become sell-outs, meaning they’ll be missing out on tens of thousands in essentially free marketing and, ultimately, profit.”

The expert added: “Influencers like Molly resonate with consumers because they appear relatable or demonstrate how to achieve a luxurious lifestyle at a fraction of the cost.

“However, Molly faces one major as she dabbles into this new venture. While making clothes at an affordable price point could maintain her broad appeal, a more premium price could risk alienating her key demographic. This could potentially open the door for competitors to capture that market by offering more affordable versions of her products.”
