Oasis fans issued urgent warning ahead of band’s reunion tour ticket release

Oasis fans have been warned just days before tickets for the band’s reunion tour go on sale.

Once-warring brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher have announced they are getting the iconic band back together for a huge reunion tour in 2025. They’ll be wowing crowds in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, with a whopping four dates at Wembley Stadium

Tickets for the highly-anticipated shows go on sale Saturday, August 31 at 9am. It’s safe to say the likes of Ticketmaster and other ticket providers will be flooded by fans desperate to cop a ticket.

However, fans have been warned not to fall victim to fraudsters, who are likely to try and steal money by exploiting fans much like they did with Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Lloyds Bank’s fraud prevention director Liz Ziegler has told people to be careful not to fall for their tricks on social media, where most of these ticket scams begin. She told Mail Online: “Missing out on these landmark gigs would be devastating for Oasis fans who have waited so long for this reunion.

“But you can be sure that criminals are getting ready to ‘slide away’ with their hard-earned cash. Most of these scams begin on social media, where impostors create fake profiles to sell non-existent tickets.

“The simple rule for fans is always stick to official ticketing platforms and avoid deals which look too good to be true.” Ticket prices will become known on Thursday (August 29) and Ticketmaster has enforced a limit of four tickets per household and only tickets bought through approved agents will be considered valid.

Sadly, it comes after lovers of huge stars like Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Beyonce were scammed out of hundreds of pounds over concert tickets. In April, 2024, more than 600 Lloyds Bank customers came forward to report being scammed in the run-up to the Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which hit the UK in June.

The average amount lost by each victim was £332, though in some cases, the loss was over £1,000. Lloyds estimates that there are likely to have been at least 3,000 victims across the UK since tickets went on sale last July, with over £1m lost to fraudsters so far.

Overall, an estimated £1m was lost in scams ahead of Taylor’s gigs. Two fans reported losing £1,000 between them despite carrying out research beforehand.
