An incensed Liam Gallagher threatened to break his dad’s legs after an Oasis gig in Dublin.
The Rock ‘N’ Roll Star was drinking in the hotel bar with his bandmates when him and Noel realised their estranged father was sitting nearby.
They had not seen him in years after a troubled family life that included growing up in a council house in Burnage, Manchester.

Liam and Noel – along with mother Peggy and older brother Paul – all claimed that Tommy was physically abusive at the time they lived there.
And things threatened to get ugly again when the father and sons were reunited after Oasis played at The Point (now called the 3 Arena) in Ireland in the 1990s.
Paul Gallagher, oldest of the brothers, recalled: “Our hotel was fairly public because Ireland didn’t really have security around rock bands in them days anyone could walk in off the street. My dad, we had seen him skulking around and I thought what the f*** is going on?”
Remembering it in the Supersonic documentary, Liam added: “Someone turned around and said ‘your old fella is over there with a journalist trying to get something going’ and I was about to kill him.”
Mum Peggy, who is from County Mayo in Ireland, described the situation as “awful” and said it ruined the night after what was a concert to remember.
Noel said he tried to take the dignified approach and persuaded his younger brother not to react because they were “better than that”.
Music writer Paolo Hewitt also said Noel deserved credit for “containing Liam” who he believes “would have gone” for Tommy.
This was something Liam himself acknowledged when he said: “I probably got calmed down by our kid I think. It is pathetic, in front of the press, your son, you know what I mean? See you later mate.
“By that time there was a story every couple of months, ‘poor old f***ing dad’s trying to get in touch with his famous sons but they don’t want anything to do with him’. All that b***ocks.”
And it was not long before the next story broke about the estranged relationship when a conversation between Liam and his father was revealed to the public.
Speaking for the first time in years, Tommy said on a brief phone call with Liam: “I’m up for concert tickets but couldn’t get tickets.”
But cutting him off, Liam fumed: “Yeah, you’re not gonna get tickets. If I catch you walking round the lobby of this hotel you’re gonna get your legs f***ing broke, right? See you later.”
Oasis announced their shock reunion after 15 years last week and the brothers are still not on speaking terms with their father.
A family member of Tommy even told The Irish Sun last week how the brothers would likely not go to his funeral if he died.
Early abuse claims
Recalling the darker moments of his childhood in the Supersonic documentary, Liam said: “Me dad used to knock me mam about. There was many times where it got like that. He never touched me, I don’t know why he didn’t. Sometimes you’d f***ing want the crack instead of having to witness it.”
Despite not physically harming Liam, Tommy allegedly did not hold back when it came to Noel.
“He used to kill Noel,” his mother, now 81, said. “Noel was the one who got it most. I remember Noel saying once ‘if you don’t get out of here and leave him mam I am going to kill him’. And I thought ‘oh Jesus, you can’t be doing time for the likes of him’.”
Giving his own take, Noel said: “Yeah, my dad used to beat the living daylights out of me. I’ve never felt compelled to either talk about it or write about it. You can’t let that kind of thing affect you in any way because you are then carrying that weight all the way through life.”
Peggy eventually found the courage to leave Tommy and they divorced in 1986 after she and the boys moved out.
Older brother Paul recalled: “He never came after us. He wouldn’t dare. It was a sense of see you later, we’re free.”
