Princess Beatrice is easily one of the most beloved members of the Royal Family.
The late Queen ELizabeth II’s granddaughter is not a working member of the family. Instead, the mum-of-one works for the software company Afiniti following her previous role at Sony Pictures.
Despite not being a working royal, the auburn beauty still attends several royal events every year. In addition to being a full-time working mum, Beatrice also finds the time to run her own charitable work outside of business hours.

Like many of her family members, the royal has also suffered her fair share of embarrassing moments growing up in the limelight. As she celebrates her 36th birthday with a bang, Daily Star has taken a look back at the most awkward moments of her career so far.
Embarrassing Glasto gig
In 2022, Princess Beatrice faced an awkward blunder at Glastonbury Festival when her bank card was declined at a bar in the festival. The star celebrated her 34th birthday at the most popular festival in the UK along with thousands of other revellers.
The fiery redhead was spotted waiting in line for more refreshments at the Pony Bistro restaurant in Glastonbury. But she was quickly left red-faced when her card was declined while she attempted to pay for her goods.
A source exclusively told Daily Star at the time: “She tried to pay by card but it got declined three times.” But the awkward blunder didn’t dull her spirits as Beatrice joined her husband among the crowds at the festival.
Mortifying dog accident
Back in 2018, sisters Beatrice and Eugenie sat down with British Vogue for its September issue as they opened up about their family life, work and living in the public eye. The royal siblings also gave the publication a rare look at their family home, Royal Lodge.
But a mortifying incident happened to Beatrice’s outfit during the lavish photoshoot. Writer Ellie Pithers, who interviewed the duo, captured the mortifying moment one of their furry friends had an accident.
While out on the grounds of the expansive home, dressed in a “voluminous” foil gown by Richard Quinn, one of the York family’s five Norfolk terriers approached the auburn royal. The dog then proceeded to “relieve himself on the ruffled hem on Beatrice’s cape”
It is estimated that the designer gown boasted a hefty price tag, with some of Richard Quinn’s other dresses retailing for more than £3,000 on NET-A-PORTER. The gown was particularly interesting because months later Richard was selected as the recipient of Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
However, any embarrassment Beatrice may have felt over the unfortunate incident didn’t last too long as Ellie recalled that the crew swiftly decided to “break for tea”. It certainly proved that a good cup of tea can fix everything.
Cheeky workplace mishap
Beatrice has proven time and time again that she has a great sense of humour in the face of awkward situations. The royal’s mother Sarah Ferguson recalled a recent incident the businesswoman experienced during an episode on her Tea Talks podcast earlier this year.
She told listeners that her daughter once walked into a boardroom and nobody recognised her. Not only that but employees believed she was their to take their tea and coffee orders.
Things only became more uncomfortable for the royal when the group began discussing how excited they were to meet the Princess. Fergie explained: “The girl came in, they all say, ‘Coffee and tea please with sugar’ so she goes off and pours them all coffee and tea.
“Then she comes back and they tell her how excited they are to meet Princess Beatrice – and of course she was pouring the coffee and tea! It always makes me laugh. It was very funny.”
The Duchess, who was married to Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1996 and shares two daughters with him, added that “the key to life is humility and humour.” She went on: “I’m so glad I brought my girls up with their feet on the ground.”
Awkward fashion blunder
Earlier this summer, Princess Beatrice attended the Royal Ascot with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The royal family member was the vision of beauty as she rocked a stunning Zimmerman dress.
But the star unfortunately fell victim to an unfortunate fashion blunder, when the Duchess of Edinburgh sported the exact same gown during an engagement in Windsor days earlier. She teamed the floral pink frock with a matching pink headline and styled her auburn locks into loose curls.
Just 48 hours earlier, Duchess Sophie rocked the same dress at the annual Garter Day service at Windsor Castle. She paired the look with a white Strathberry bag and a cream and pink hat – one that she previously wore to the Royal Ascot in 2023.
Sophie joined the King and Queen and a few other members of the family at the lavish event. Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter.
