Music legend Sting has never been shy about flaunting his bedroom antics for all to see.
Throughout the years, The Police frontman has dished out some very intimate details about his sex life, claiming everything from indulging in epic hours-long tantric sessions to being outright vetoed from swinging by his missus, Trudie Styler.
But even though a few of his steamy tales have been nixed by his former flames, the buzz around Sting’s romps has kept the tabloids titillated for decades.

As the rocker rings in his 73rd birthday, we’re diving into the sauciest bits he’s let slip – think mind-blowing seven-hour bonking marathons to ‘cheap thrill’ fancy-dress frolics.
Seven-hour sesh

Sting really got tongues wagging when he bragged about him and his wife Trudie Styler getting down to it for an earth-shattering seven hours straight. Over time, Sting became almost synonymous with the idea of tantric sex you know, that chilled, introspective kind of nooky that brings in yoga vibes.
Legend has it that Sting and Trudie’s lovemaking could stretch anywhere from five to 24 hours yes mate, a full day and night devoted exclusively to pleasure. Turns out though, Sting wasn’t being dead literal about it all.
Clearing the air in 2014 during an interview on Inside The Actor’s Studio with James Lipton, he confessed: “If we had seven hours, I would demonstrate. Maybe not. But there is some truth to it.”
He enlightened listeners by saying, “The idea of tantric sex is a spiritual act. I don’t know any purer and better way of expressing a love for another individual.” He joked: “Seven hours includes movie and dinner.”
Trudie, on the other hand, dismissed the sessions as a mere “myth” and shed light on how it all possibly began. In a chat with The Sun, she revealed that the rumours originated from an interview Sting had with Bob Geldof, where she said: “Geldof said he was a three-minute man, but, as Sting did yoga, he could probably go for hours.”
“Sting then added, ‘Haven’t you heard of tantric sex? ‘ It sort of became a cause celebre.” “The tantric hours got extended and, suddenly, I was doing it all day long. Well, if only,” she quipped.

Sting confessed that locking lips with another bloke during a romantic scene for the 1995 drama film The Grotesque “wasn’t entirely unpleasant”. When asked by Advocate magazine in 2013 if he felt any sexual attraction towards the other actor, Sting responded: “I think that’s very dangerous, because the easiest way to portray someone in love or someone in lust is to be in love or in lust.”
“That’s a very easy thing to fall into. If you’re making love to a beautiful man or a beautiful woman – it’s a quite attractive idea to your body.” He further stated that the other actor also hadn’t kissed men before, and humorously added: “Now we both have. So I suppose we’re gay now.”
The singer clarified that he has never been in a “gay relationship”, but maintains “very close, loving relationships” with his male colleagues.

Sting’s wife Trudie has shut down claims that the couple enjoys swinging and wife-swapping, revealing she’s “a very possessive person” who values their monogamous relationship. In a 2012 interview with the Evening Standard, Trudie said: “Look, we are very much in love, we have a wonderful physical married life, a great sex life, and we’ve never hidden that – and I count myself lucky that I am as much in love with my husband as I was 22 years ago.”
Sting has also spoken about their intimate life, telling Harper’s Bazaar magazine that he likes to be “playful” in the bedroom and enjoys dressing Trudie up. He described their lovemaking as “tawdry”, saying: “We like tawdry. We treat every day as it comes. Relationships aren’t easy, and I don’t think they’re particularly natural, but we’re lucky because we actually like each other.”
Trudie also denied rumors that she made a racy video to support Sting during his 1991 Hollywood Bowl performance. Despite the challenges of maintaining a long-term relationship, especially during Sting’s time with The Police, Trudie said she feels fortunate to have a strong and loving partnership with her husband.
Sting echoed this sentiment, saying: “Trudie lights up my world when she comes into a room. I don’t take her for granted.” She told the Evening Standard that the whole incident was overhyped, remarking that performers’ friends and family were encouraged to record special messages for a birthday greeting.
“I thought it would be hilarious if I got together with some of my male friends, and lay on my bed saying, ‘Hello, darling, happy birthday. Sorry I can’t be with you, it’s so lonely when you’re on the road.’ And then the camera pans down to three of my mates putting on their trousers.”
Trudie described the tape as “harmless” and the joke clearly worked a treat, as she and her hubby are still close as ever today, brimming with love.

Sting and Trudie have never been the type to hold back, even sharing with the world the saucy erotic art garnishing their boudoir. Back in 2012, the rocker welcomed the public into his £12million plush Manhattan pad, offering a no-holds-barred tour of where he nests with Trudie.
Their shared sleeping quarters housed two rather risque Helmut Newton prints including one featuring a ‘virtually naked’ lady spreadeagled in the rear of a vintage Mercedes. A fella is spied from the front seat, getting handsy unzipping one of her killer boots.
While another artwork, positioned right over the bed, boldly showcases just a woman’s lower half clad in nothing but stockings, suspenders, and skyscraper heels. Trudie confessed to finding the artwork “hot” – and it appears to be just the thing to add some sizzle to her private life.
