Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice was one of the first to show his support for his former co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis in a super sweet way.
Ex-EastEnders star Rose shared a series of snaps to her Instagram grid, one showing her clutching bouquets of flowers while tossing a grin over one shoulder. What followed were snaps of her in the make-up chair, playing the word game Bananagram, heading into her trailer in an oversized duffle coat and enjoying some soup.
In a lengthy caption, Rose explained what’s been going on in her life lately, writing: “Lately… 1. Plants/flowers addiction. 2. Spring is here. Nearly. 3. Favourite time of the morning. 4. Bananagram on the train (‘Lieutenant blew our mind. Rose’s famous interpreter is the winner). 5. Trailer for life.”

Alongside a snap of a baby’s hands, Rose explained that she’s become an aunt for the first time with her sister-in-law Kelli welcoming a son, before going on: “Golden light makes me happy. 8. Jackson Pollock’s soup, thanks to Laoganma Soybeans and Mayo Sriracha Sauce. 9. Must keep myself inspired. 10. Old photo: Should I grow my hair long again?”
Giovanni was one of the first to comment on the sweet post, posting a row of three black heart emojis – as fans fawned over the pair. One fan gushed: “You and Rose owe us a dance!” while another quipped: “Rose deserves a lot more kisses, I mean a lot more!!”
Rose’s sister-in-law Kelli penned: “Little man loves his auntie Rose!” while other fans were desperate to share the love, writing; “Congratulations on becoming an auntie!” Someone else said: “Many congratulations on becoming an auntie. Lots of love and best wishes to your brother and partner.”
Rose’s post comes as Giovanni is reportedly set to meet with BBC bosses for “crunch talks” to discuss the allegations against him, after four of his Strictly co-stars complained about him. It has been suggested that Pernice’s training style is “too intense”.
One source told The Sun of the latest development: “Giovanni has a meeting with Strictly on Thursday about his return later this year. They have not received any official complaints and are backing him. He is an accomplished pro dancer and it’s expected he will be taking his place in the formal line-up when it’s announced later this month.”

His 2023 partner Amanda Abbington was the first to complain about his behaviour, with Laura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh following in due course. Now Steps singer Faye Tozer is said to have broken down in tears on It Takes Two, admitting her training was getting to her.
One source said: “They did often clash and she was in tears on It Takes Two. She found how he spoke to her abrasive.”
