Layton Williams said it was “awkward” watching Ekin-Su flirt with Nikita on Celebrity Big Brother.
The 29-year-old appeared on the 2023 series of Strictly Come Dancing and finished runner-up with Nikita. The duo formed a close bond during their time on the BBC competition and Layton has thrown his support behind his former partner.
During Wednesday’s episode (March 13) of CBB, Louis Walsh quizzed Ekin-Su over the possibility of a romance with Nikita, despite him having a girlfriend. Ekin-Su immediately shot down any suspicion or rumours, telling Louis “no, no, he’s got a girlfriend. I would never do that.”

Shortly after, Ekin-Su and Nikita found themselves alone in the bedroom and the Love Island star couldn’t help but compliment the professional dancer. She told him: “What Sharon said about you is spot on. I think she did the right thing. You’re a good person and you have a good energy and I can trust you.
Nikita responded: “Thank you Ekin-Su, that’s really sweet from you.” She added: “It’s because you deserve it.” The conversation was touched upon during tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother: Late & Live, where Layton confessed he felt slightly uncomfortable watching the scenes.
Will Best kicked things off by saying: “Tonight we saw Louis suggest a potential romance between Ekin-Su and Nikita, which she then totally batted away by immediately going and flirting with Nikita in the bedroom.”
He asked for Layton’s opinion as the Strictly finalist confessed: “That was really awkward to see. By the way just because someone’s got a partner, it doesn’t mean that they’re necessarily interested in you anyway.
“I don’t really like that kind of angle. No shade… full shade. But then to go into the bedroom where he’s changing and to be giving him compliments, I’m just like, ‘Read the room’.”
The Bad Education star pointed out how much he loved Nikita’s simple response before leaving the room. “That’s my Nikita,” he gushed.
Layton added: “He played that so well because I think he knows. I hope that’s the end of that now that she’s read the room.”
