This Morning fans were left gobsmacked after one of its hosts tried on a “gimp mask.”
The hit ITV show returned for another instalment on Friday (May 10) with Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond back at the helm. But things took a slightly strange turn as the pair tested out the latest beauty trends.
For the segment, Nadine Baggott was on hand to give fans of a rundown of all the latest beauty gadgets. And one of the items got plenty of people’s attention.

Whipping out a rather suspicious-looking mask, Nadine was asked by Alison: “Do you use that in the bedroom?” Nadine replied: “This is not a naughty boy mask,” and explained: “In Asia, it’s considered beautiful to have a small face.”
Keen for her co-host Dermot to try on the mask Alison egged him on and said: “Put it on, put it on!” Succumbing to the pressure, Dermot picked up the mask, turned around and put it on.

Explaining more about the mask, Nadine said: “So Asian women sleep in these at night with the idea to keep fluid out of your face and keep your face smaller.” Alison asked: “You’re meant to sleep in this?”
She then turned to Dermot, who had the mask on, and added: “Is it comfortable?” He replied: “It’s a bit Silence of the Lambs, I’m not going to lie.”
Alison then tightened the mask to which Dermot proclaimed: “Oh no, I can’t breathe!” Nadine, who later referred to the mask as a “gimp mask,” then told him: “It is made for a small Asian lady not a buff guy.”
With the mask still on, Dermot quipped: “My eyes are getting squished. It’s so painful. Like you said it’s made for a little Asian lady, not me!”
Nadine then joked: “I feel like there’s a Dermot O’Leary OnlyFans market here,” as he took the mask off. Ripping it off, Dermot was then told by Alison: “You look so much better.”

This Morning viewers were quick to react to the hilarious segment and share their thoughts. Over on X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Thanks for the laugh Dermot!! So funny!”
Someone else chimed in and added: “Jeez Dermot I nearly spat out my tea!” A third proclaimed: “Christ Dermot! Take it off, take it off!” while another penned: “Terrifying.”
