Top Gear legends photo resurfaces and fans spot very rude detail in background

A photo of Top Gear’s classic presenting lineup caused a somewhat rude stir after it resurfaced online via the Clarkson’s Farm X account.

The snap sees James May and Richard Hammond standing with co-host Jeremy Clarkson outside the Caledonian Canal Centre in Fort Augustus, Scotland. A throwback from their time together working for the BBC before the trio relocated to Amazon Prime’s The Grand Tour, saw Jeremy’s position on the image backfire.

Standing with his head covering the ‘C’ of ‘Canal’ left the 64-year old with his egg on his face, while fans were unable to contain their laughter. “Here’s hoping you three weren’t traumatised too much in there!” one X user quipped, adding: “But it looks like James kind of enjoyed it.”

“God, I love these three!” reminisced another. “There’s nothing like them together! Makes for amazing television.”

A third joked: “When I think I should probably be more grown up these days – this is exactly the sort of photo I would take!” While a fourth added: “A wholesome photo totally ruined with extras!”

Others, meanwhile, couldn’t help but poke fun at Richard’s expense, explaining that due to his height the same problem wouldn’t have occurred had he been standing in Jeremy’s position.

Jeremy’s new pub, The Farmer’s Dog opens in Asthall, Oxfordshire on Friday (August 23) – a short distance from his Diddly Squat Farm. The eatery, previously called The Windmill, is set within five acres of land offering stunning views across the Windrush Valley.

The broadcaster has also erected a 5,000 square-foot marquee and outdoor furniture for customers to enjoy. Temporary events notices on the West Oxfordshire District Council’s website hinted the pub would be opening early for the August Bank Holiday weekend.
