Coleen Rooney once banned her husband Wayne from attending a night out with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, the rapper claimed.
Combs was arrested last week on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. The rapper also allegedly engaged in so-called “freak off” parties that included illegal drugs, underage girls, hidden cameras and sex workers.
Diddy has denied the charges, with his lawyer claiming that he’s “an innocent man with nothing to hide.” Following the news, a clip has resurfaced from The Graham Norton Show in 2011, where the talkshow host recounted a party where he briefly met the rapper.
Graham told Diddy: “You probably don’t remember this but I did meet you briefly once before at a party. Not one of yours; it was at the Beckhams’ house…
He continued: “I was doing the auction. When I say I was at it, I wasn’t really at it. I was working it. But you very kindly donated a night out with you in New York? And it was two footballers. Was it…it was Wayne Rooney and was it Rio Ferdinand?”
The rapper replied: “Yes”. Graham added: “Was it the two of them? I always wondered; did they ever go? Did it ever happen?” Diddy responded: “No, their wives wouldn’t allow them to come. I’m serious. I don’t know why.”
Representatives for Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand have been contacted for comment. The rapper previously admitted on The Graham Norton Show that he wanted to invite a young Prince Harry and Prince William to one of his parties.
However, he also said “they’re off the list” and there is no evidence the royal brothers ever attended. Speaking outside the courthouse earlier this month, Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said: “Mr Combs is a fighter, he’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence. He’s not afraid, he’s not afraid of the charges.”
Diddy’s relations with a number of high-profile stars have since been thrust into the spotlight following the allegations. Justin Bieber struck up a friendship with the rap mogul when he was 15 years old, with Diddy reportedly taking him under his wing.
Usher also met Diddy at a young age, 14, and admitted getting introduced to “a totally different set of s*** — sex, specifically” by the Bad Boy star.
