CBB star issues stern warning to new contestants after ‘traumatic’ experience

EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Big Brother star Chloe Khan has opened up about her time in the house – almost a decade on from when she walked through the reality TV doors

Celebrity Big Brother star Chloe Khan has issued a warning to the 2025 housemates.

The former X Factor starred on the reality show back in 2026 where she had her fair share of drama and booze-filled shenanigans – and looking back, she describes her TV stint as “traumatic”.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Chloe told us: “It was quite a traumatic experience for me, I haven’t even been able to watch it back.

“I just think it was a huge mind game, they were manipulative with stuff, with how they treat you in there and also how it is edited, so I would say new contestants should bare that in mind.

“They do a psychiatric evaluation before you go in and that’s where they can learn how to push your the buttons. That’s how they know how to cause arguments and disputes and whatever else.

“At the end of the day, yes, it was quite traumatic but I’m still glad that I did it.”

When asked what advice she would dish out to the new 2025 lineup, she shared: “Realistically, all you need to actually do is just not argue with anyone else and just coast through, if you want to say until the end, but that doesn’t always happen for people, especially in that environment.

“I would also advise that the housemates should put the effort in to look good because if not they will air you looking awful and keep posting it everywhere.

“I didn’t think it was my time to go when I did, as it wasn’t a proper eviction. but I must have known something was coming because I was all dolled up that day and looking my best,” she laughed.

Chloe also spoke about how she was perceived from viewers during the series and claims she was “misjudged”.

She explained: “I think before you come on, they give you a character to play and they will manipulate it for you to look like that character. I think I was very misjudged in there because I’m not actually stupid, I’m far from it.”

Reflecting back, she added: “Saying that I have still changed loads from back then, of course physically but mentally as well. But I was very misjudged, and there was this massive misconception as to what I was really like. And I really wasn’t that character they were making me out to be.”

Chloe spent time in the CBB house with the likes of Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson, TOWIE’s Lewis Bloor, Celebs Go Dating’s Stephen Bear, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano and former Loose Women panellist Saira Khan.
