Celebrity Big Brother fans have been left scratching their heads as they can’t seem to find the famous housemate, with some complaining that they’ve not getting airtime
One Celebrity Big Brother seems to have disappeared from the house.
Or at least that’s what some fans seem to think – and they’re not happy about it. Hollywood hardman Mickey Rourke has made quite the first impression, hitting on host AJ Odudu and then making vile remarks about JoJo Siwa’s sexuality – which he later apologised for.
He’s also broken the rules, and was told off for trying to cover up the cameras and not wearing his mic. However, it seems Corrie star Jack P Shepherd, 37, has sparked concern as viewers can’t seem to see him in the latest scenes of the show.
It all kicked off when Mickey Rourke was branded “homophobic” for his grim comments about JoJo. In the Diary Room, Big Brother bosses warned him that his “unacceptable” remarks were not to be tolerated and that he could be removed from the house if his behaviour continued.
But after the episode on Wednesday night (April 9), viewers took to social media to ask where Jack was. They felt he wasn’t getting as much screen-time as the other housemates.
“Is Jack P Shepherd still in the house? Genuinely I haven’t seen him since launch night,” wrote one. Another asked: “Is Jack P. Shepherd still on the show?”.
A third said: “I genuinely didn’t realise Jack was still in the house. Haven’t seen him for days.” A fourth complained: “Please give Jack airtime, he’s why I’m watching.”
Jack is taking time out from Coronation Street, where he plays David Platt, during his time in the house. Asked what he was looking forward to the most about the show, he said: “Probably just every experience that comes with it – the Diary Room, the nominations. I think I’ll like the tasks because that’s the big event – when you can all come together.”
Asked what’s likely to annoy him in the house, he said: “I think if someone’s just trying to be loud to try and ‘point the camera at me please, I need airtime’ – maybe that might annoy me. Also, if you’re having a conversation and someone just comes and randomly joins in.”
Asked what he can bring to the house, Jack said: “I have a strength for cleaning – I like to clean. I’ll make cups of tea. I’ll wash up. I’m not the best cook but I can cook. And I’m very quiet if I need to be.”
Jack has been on the cobbles for 25 years but he recently revealed he wants to be on Corrie for the foreseeable future. He told the Mirror: “I’ve just celebrated 25 years on Corrie and I don’t see myself going anywhere.
“I think it’s not unusual for one of these flagship shows, like Big Brother, the jungle, Dancing On Ice, to have a face from Corrie.
“They usually have one from Corrie or one from Emmerdale. Alan’s [Halsall] just done the jungle and Sam[Aston] did Dancing On Ice. So yeah, I suppose it’s just my turn I think. But I’m not going anywhere. I think as long as they’ll still write for the character and they like the Platts, yeah, I’ll stay. I like it too much.”
