Last November, Charlotte, 34, was heavily pregnant when a group of criminals invaded her £1.4 million Sunderland residence while she, her partner Jake Ankers, and their two year old daughter Alba were present.

The Geordie Shore celeb admitted that the break-in had taught her some harsh lessons, including not giving fans a peek into her home on social media anymore.

Charlotte even mentioned that she and Jake were house hunting after selling their property, and had significantly ramped up their security measures.

“I won’t share my house anywhere online again. We have very intense security now and it’s very expensive. It’s everything you can imagine for very close protection we have – but no bodyguard!” she disclosed to The Sun, reports the Mirror.

Following the incident, Jake provided more insight into what transpired. “I can’t believe I’m saying this but some little c***s have tried to rob my house with my two-year-old and my partner who is nearly eight months pregnant, armed with a machete,” he posted on Instagram at the time.

He recounted how he chased the four burglars out of the house but failed to apprehend them. Jake added: “One of them who was in the house at the top of the stairs had a red balaclava on. He is the one that had the machete.

“My little girl’s in the house. My partner’s in the house,” he recounted of the terrifying ordeal, imploring his fans to step up if they had any leads on the crime.

The coppers have issued a statement as well: “Police were called shortly before 7pm on Thursday (November 21) to reports of a burglary at an address in Houghton-le-Spring. Officers attended the area however the suspects left the scene before their arrival. Nobody was injured in the incident and no items are believed to have been taken.

“An investigation is now underway and anyone with information is asked to contact West CID on 101 quoting incident number 365 of November 21.”

Months after the attempted break-in, MTV celeb Charlotte revealed that despite the police being called out, she’s been left in the dark with no further updates from the bobbies.

“I’ve had this happen twice, like two years before, but I never really received any updates then either. Back then I was on holiday so not at home,” she spilled to the press.

Charlotte also dished on her living arrangements, sharing that “it’s only been four weeks” since they flogged their gaff and they’re even “happy to go to an AirBnB” if they don’t snag a new pad before they need to hand over the keys.
