The former rugby ace has said reality TV is not on his radar right now after recently appearing in the new Netflix show and on Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas special in 2023
Danny Cipriani has quit reality TV.
The former rugby ace has starred on Strictly’s Christmas episode and Netflix hit Celebrity Bear Hunt over the past year.
But even though doing more shows like that would be lucrative, he isn’t interested.
Danny said: “I feel unbelievably privileged and honoured to have done Celebrity Bear Hunt. I loved it. I did what I wanted to do.
“But I won’t do a reality show again. It’s not something that’s on my radar right now whatsoever.”
The 37-year-old appeared on the all-star Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special in December 2023 and was partnered with professional dancer Jowita Przystal.
For his cha cha cha, Danny received 37 out of 40 and made it to the final three along with Tillie Amartey and Keisha Buchanan.
Most recently, the former partner of model Kelly Brook, appeared on Netflix ’s Celebrity Bear Hunt hosted by Holly Willoughby.
It premiered on February 5 this year and sees a group of famous faces dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for survival expert Bear Grylls.
Having started out his career as a rugby union player, he played for Gloucester, Sale Sharks and Bath in the UK and Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby.
He has also been capped for England 16 times.
The former sportsman has also been in the headlines for dating a number of high-profile women including Kelly Brook, former glamour model Katie Price, actress Lindsay Lohan, and former 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord.
He also dated the late TV presenter Caroline Flack in 2019.
He has written about his past relationships in his memoir Who Am I?.
In 2013, Cipriani was hospitalised after being hit by a double-decker bus in Leeds on an end of season night out with his Sale Sharks teammates doing a pub crawl known at the Otley Run.
He was arrested for drunk-driving after a car he was driving was involved in a collision with a taxi in 2015.
After ruling out more reality TV, Danny is eyeing other avenues for his next project.
The hunk said: “Life is bringing me beautiful opportunities. When I get offered things, I’ll have think about whether or not I want to do it.
“Things are just happening. If something feels good, then I’ll do it.
“There are lots of things that I’d like to do. I feel like it’s going to be revealed over the next year. Right now I’m staying present with my days.”
