Veteran Gogglebox star Amy left fans stunned as she revealed her weight loss, and also hinted at her plans to strip off for a glamorous photo shoot once she gets to her goal
Amy Tapper has shown off her drastic weight loss as she continues her fitness journey.
The former Gogglebox star, 25, first joined the Channel 4 alongside her family in the original cast of the show, including the likes of June & Leon, and the Siddiquis. Since leaving the show, she has been stunning her fans as she drops the pounds as part of a major fitness journey, while her brother recently tied the knot in a major milestone.
But in a new update, Amy has been flaunting her continuing weight loss journey, sharing some major news with fans. She revealed she has now dropped a phenomenal 6 stone and is now feeling better than ever.
Taking to her Instagram page, the former TV star showed off her new physique while she gave her best pal a huge squeeze in a new video. Writing in the caption, she said: “POV: you’ve lost 6 stone for the first time in your life,” followed by a heart-eyes emoji.
In the video, Amy is seen done up in gym gear as she steps on the scales to find out her weight. When she sees that she has reached her lowest weight so far, she immediately starts jumping up and down before running to her pal and personal trainer for a hug as she struggles to contain her emotions.
Amy first shot to fame when she appeared on Gogglebox back in 2013 with her family. After leaving the show a few years ago, she has embarked on a journey to lose weight, now losing three stone in the span of just two years.
Her first major update on her fitness came in 2023 when she had already lost three stone off-camera. In February, Amy stunned viewers when she revealed she had shaved a total of five stone off the scales, flaunting her fitter physique in a pair of before and after images.
Writing to her fans following the latest weigh-in, she said as she sobbed: “Wow wow wow 6 stone down!! I cannot believe it – I am so proud of myself.
“I promise I will share more of my journey soon there’s just so much to say I’m figuring out my best way to do it,” she added. “Here’s to the next stone and more.”
Amy went on to thank her personal trainer Tash for the support both in and out of the gym that she provided the 25-year-old. “You are not only my personal trainer but truly a friend and more like a therapist.
“I couldn’t do any of this without you and your ongoing support, thank you for everything,” she finished. It comes as Amy enters the fourth year of her weight loss journey.
After quitting Gogglebox back in 2018, Amy said she was focused on losing weight back in 2021. At that point, Amy had revealed she was trying a host of different diets, going from one to the other until she made the decision to switch her life up during lockdown.
Since then, Amy has dropped three dress sizes, going from a size 26 to a size 20, all by reducing her portion sizes and dance routines she made around the house. However, one problem Amy admitted to as a result of her weight loss is that she is now having to throw out most of her old clothes as they no longer fit her.
Amy has since teased that she is planning on stripping off a sexy photoshoot to celebrate reaching her target weight. Speaking to Closer Magazine, she explained: I feel so much sexier and confident because I can already see all my hard work paying off.
“I’ve got more energy, I can actually feel my skin tightening as I tone up and I like what I’m seeing in the mirror,” she continued. “When I’ve dropped around 6-8st I’ll pose naked to celebrate!”
