Gregg Wallace, former MasterChef host who was recently fired from the BBC, was reportedly facing a further 50 misconduct allegations made against him – all of which he denies
MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace is facing 50 more misconduct claims as he denies all the allegations made against him.
BBC News has reported that the BBC have been approached with 50 new allegations against the former MasterChef host, who was recently sacked from his role following a nine month investigation.
A series of complaints were launched against Wallace back in 2024, which included allegations of “inappropriate behaviour” behind-the-scenes while filming the BBC cooking competition show.
His lawyers strongly deny the claims and said: “It is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature.”
On 8 July, news broke that the BBC had fired Wallace and he took to social media to address the decision.
In an Instagram post, Gregg wrote: “I have taken the decision to speak out ahead of the publication of the Silkins report – a decision I do not take lightly.”
“But after 21 years of loyal service to the BBC, I cannot sit in silence while my reputation is further damaged to protect others. I have now been cleared by the Silkins report of the most serious and sensational accusations made against me.”
“The most damaging claims (including allegations from public figures which have not been upheld) were found to be baseless after a full and forensic six-month investigation.”
The report is set for released on 10 July, but Gregg’s legal team were allegedly “given an early steer”.
An insider has also said that Gregg is “furious and devastated” by the decision. His team have allegedly “seen the report and believe he is cleared of the most serious wrongdoing allegations,” which the former MasterChef star has “taken great consolation from”.
