Love Island favourite Chloe Burrows enjoyed a trip to Australia over the festive period, but it ended up being a bit ‘traumatising’ after she found herself in trouble
Ex-Love Island contestant and podcast host Chloe Burrows has opened up about a “traumatising” experience she went through during her time in Australia.
The 29-year-old, who recently unveiled her new man, took a trip Down Under with her best friend, Millie Court, along with Liam Reardon and other friends, where they celebrated Christmas and rang in the new year together. It was there that Chloe now admits she had a bad experience in the Australian sea.
Despite all the fun they had partying it up on the other side of the world, the reality star was rescued by lifeguards from a riptide in what she describes as a “traumatising” experience. On her friend and fellow influencer Joe Baggs’ Not My Bagg podcast, host Joe asked if she had any wild stories to share with listeners.
It was then that Chloe candidly shared: “On Christmas Day we went to Bronte Beach, and it was an actual rave on the beach. I really need a wee, and they had public toilets, but the queue was f****** huge, so I was like, ‘I’ll just go in the sea’, I don’t care.
“So, I run with my friend down to the water to go for a wee, and I got in and I’m trying to go for a wee and this huge wave, and I am drunk, like I should not be swimming it is unsafe, and was very silly of me, but anyway, this huge wave is taking me out.
“I got caught in a riptide, so I’m now so far away from the shore, and I’m trying to call my friends.”
After recalling the scare, Chloe explained that her unfortunate moment led to being pulled from the sea by lifeguards. “It was really traumatising, and then two lifeguards are coming and pull me back to shore, and I was just a drunk mess. It was just pure chaos,” she shared.
Throughout their trip the influencer snapped away and shared endless photos with her followers, including pictures of the group dressed in red on Christmas Day. Chloe stunned in a red bikini alongside best friend and former Love Island contestant Millie Court.
Her traumatic story comes after the recent reveal of her new relationship, which fans guessed was “soft launched” on her story. Chloe’s new love, Ruben Moreira, is thought to have been introduced to the star by fellow islander Liam Reardon.
