Nightmare Mickey Mouse horror trailer unleashes terror on unsuspecting viewers

Screamboat Willie, a play on the classic Mickey Mouse cartoon Steamboat Willie, is set to release soon and horror fans have been left scarred by the film’s final trailer

Screamboat Willie’s final trailer is nightmare fuel.

The clip begins with a parody of classic Disney movies to introduce the character of Steamboat Willie. As lighthearted classical music plays, the video cuts to gruesome scenes from the film including blood spattered walls and characters cowering with fear.

“Five fearless friends” are introduced, clearly based on a number of beloved Disney princesses: Cindi, with a blue dress and blonde hair, Bella, with brunette curls and a yellow outfit, Jazzy, sporting princess Jasmine’s signature mint blue shade, Arianna adorned with a head full of ginger waves, and Rory, based on Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora with blonde hair and a bright pink outfit.

The group appear to be boarding Steamboat Willie’s vessel to drink and party, but little do they know what is in store.

Willie’s boat transforms into a nightmare they can’t escape from as the trailer cuts to one horrifed character who shouts: “We’re all gonna die!”

The main villain, a disgusting grey rat with a top hat and a creepy smile, terrorises the boat searching for his next victim as screams can be heard from the unsuspecting visitors.

The trailer reveals that Screamboat Willie will be in theatres 2 April and the description reads: “[The film] follows a group of New Yorkers on a late-night ferry ride that turns deadly when a mischievous mouse begins a rampage, targeting unsuspecting passengers.”

“The unlikely crew must band together to thwart the murderous menace before their relaxing commute turns into a nightmare.”

Down in the comment section of the trailer’s YouTube video, horror fans shared their excitement for the upcoming gore-fest flick and rushed to share their thoughts. One person said: “Now that’s how you promote a movie! [thumbs up emoji].”

Another said: “Wow, I am excited [about] Screamboat,” while another said: “Oh wow, this is going to be a good watch!”

Others branded the trailer as “sick” and “crazy,” while someone else cried: “My childhood [crying faces].” One unimpressed critic even wrote: “Horror directors are taking this too far, for ruining Disney.”

IMDb’s description for the gory film reads: “A late-night boat ride turns into a desperate fight for survival in New York City when a mischievous mouse becomes a monstrous reality.”

Directed by Steven LaMorte, Screamboat Willie stars Tyler Posey, Terrifier star David Howard Thornton and Jesse Kove.
