Noel Gallagher has spoken out ahead of Oasis’ upcoming live shows, their first in 16 years, stating: “People will never forget the way you made them feel.”

In the Oasis tour programme, Noel shares his thoughts on why the band remains beloved by fans across generations. As fans queue up at the Principality stadium in Cardiff for the first tour date to get their hands on the programme, Noel reflects on the appeal of Oasis to younger fans and the frenzy surrounding the Oasis Live 25 tour.

Noel notes: “A new generation recognises how Oasis wasn’t manufactured. It was chaotic, and flawed, and not technically brilliant. We were rough and ready guys from a rehearsal room, and people recognised it.”

Despite being the driving force behind Oasis’ success with his songwriting and dedication to rehearsals, Noel humbly says: “I didn’t invent anything. I had good taste in music, a cool record collection, I could write a melody simple enough to make it work, and it was 50% inspiration and 50% copying.”

Noel’s comments come just days after his brother Liam gave an interview to Burberry, possibly his last on-screen appearance before taking the stage in Cardiff. When asked what makes a great frontman, Liam replied: “I mean being able to sing is good. Just getting on with your job and doing it, and trying to get a vibe going and looking cool,” reports the Mirror.

He has previously acknowledged Ian Brown as a significant influence during his younger years, and discussed the transformative power of music money, stating: “When I went to see the Stone Roses in 1989 in Manchester, and that was it, I thought ‘I’m having a bit of that’.”

When asked about the things he couldn’t live without, some of which he’ll surely miss while on tour, especially his pet, Liam responded: “Football, my family, my missus, my kids, my dog. In no particular order by the way. My dog’s called Buttons.”

Oasis have touched down in Cardiff, gearing up for their sensational reunion tour – marking the first time Noel and Liam Gallagher will share the stage in 16 years.

The anticipation is building for the inaugural show of the world tour this Friday, with the band having reunited several months ago to start jamming.

The first snaps of the band exiting rehearsals in London were released in May, featuring Noel Gallagher, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell, who will be handling guitar duties for the sold-out gigs, with Andy on bass.

Liam, initially taking a break from singing, joined the group on June 3. The band also welcomes new members, keyboardist Christian Madden and drummer Joey Waronker.

While Joey has toured with Liam before, this will be his first time playing with Oasis.

Noel and Liam are set to share the stage for the first time in public since their band’s split almost two decades ago, with their first tour date scheduled for July 4 in Cardiff. The tour will also include performances in Manchester, London, and Dublin.

Noel, aged 57, left the Manchester rock group on August 28, 2009, stating he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”, leading to over a decade of negative remarks between the brothers.

However, this changed with the announcement of the tour in August last year. The duo posed for several photos together, confirming the long-anticipated reunion of the band on Tuesday, declaring: “The great wait is over.”
