Little brother Liam Gallagher is more popular than big bruv Noel, according to a poll – but many say Noel beats Liam in another category
Brits prefer Liam Gallagher over his brother Noel, a poll finds. Bookies Ladbrokes surveyed the nation to find out which Oasis brother people favoured ahead of the Britpop band’s tour. It was a close call, with Liam nabbing 51% of the vote to Noel’s 49%.
But it wasn’t all (morning) glory for the younger Gallagher, with the same survey showing that 53% of people believe that Noel is the better singer.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “The results are in, but the debate is going nowhere. Despite the fine margins, our latest survey results could have both Liam and Noel crying their hearts out.”
The findings come as Liam is fuming that mum Peggy is taking the credit for the Oasis reunion.
He claimed his and brother Noel’s rapprochement was “nothing to do with her” and it was “all MY doing”, adding: “I’m taking all the credit.”
Asked if he made the call to Noel, he said: “YES for the 900th f****** time.”
The Wonderwall singer spoke out after his mum said she was the “instigator” who managed to heal the rift between her formerly warring sons. Oasis have said they could be releasing more tickets to their reunion tour gigs.
The Britpop titans kick off their hotly-anticipated Live ’25 tour at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium next Friday (July 4). However, fans who missed out on tickets may still have a chance to see the band on the tour.
Oasis have revealed that a “limited number of additional tickets” may be up for grabs after some final checks. Both Noel and Liam Gallagher shared the news on X, formerly Twitter.
However these tickets will only be available to fans who are signed up to the Oasis fans site. They said on X/Twitter: “As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned.
“These final production releases will happen over the coming days. If you are an Oasismynet member, keep an eye on your inbox for an email from your regular Oasismynet or Ticketmaster correspondence address.”
