Pregnant Love Island star Olivia Bowen has defended herself against body-shaming trolls after she posted her latest set of lingerie snaps. This comes shortly after she announced the exciting news of her second pregnancy.
The series two star, 31, uploaded a series of stunning snaps in a bid to boost her self-esteem as she sported a black lace set from Boux Avenue’s Valentine’s Day collection. Olivia took to Instagram to address the cruel comments as she further plugged the lingerie set.
Olivia penned: “I remember when I first got pregnant I posted a picture of me in some lingerie, someone was like ‘you’re pregnant, you’re about to be a mum, you can’t wear that’. And I was like how does that even work?
“Do you know how babies are made, first of all. Second of all, I probably need to feel my most confident while pregnant. There are so many emotions in my body telling me I’m not attractive and I’m not enough.
“So lingerie is one of the things that make me feel so much confidence and give me that boost. So ladies, pregnant or not, make yourself feel good, you deserve to wear this lingerie, don’t let anyone tell you any different.”
Earlier this month, Olivia and her co-star husband Alex Bowen announced their baby news on social media. They shared: “A moment, a love – baby no2 – we’re waiting for you.”
Friends and fans flocked to the comment section, with former TOWIE star Fran Parman saying: “So happy for you both!! Congratulations.”
Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison commented: “OMG…. the best news ever, Congratulations guys x” While Love Island beauty Rosie Williams scribed: “Ahh congratulations beautiful family.”
Olivia revealed earlier this month that she and Alex were trying for another baby, which comes two years on after welcoming their son Abel, who was born in 2022.
She told OK!: “Me and Al really do want another child, but I guess it’s just when it happens. We are trying for one, but I don’t want to put too much pressure on why it’s not happening or when it will.
“But I would love another one and Alex would as well, but two is the limit! It’s mad enough with one.”
