Researchers found 68% of us find short people sexy – with nearly two-thirds of people saying they would be very happy to go out with a much smaller bloke over a taller one
Pint-sized Hollywood stars are giant turn-ons. The likes of 5ft 7in tall The Bear actor Jeremy Allen, 34, and Succession’s pint-sized Keiran Culkin, 42, have topped a list of ‘Short Kings’.
It was compiled by researchers who found that 68% of us find shorter people sexy – with nearly two-thirds of folk saying that they would be happy to date a tiddler of a bloke. Others on the league table of the world’s biggest titchy turn-ons include Spider-Man star Tom Holland, Adolescence actor Ashley Walters and Tom Cruise.
Jon Horsley, head of research at insight agency Perspectus, which carried out the study, said: “It seems short guys are having their moment, with more than six in ten Brits saying they would happily date a guy under 6ft tall – meaning we could well be looking at a short King summer.”
Behind The Bear’s Jeremy, second on the list of sexy short guys is Sam Rockwell (5ft 8in), who has a cameo role in the current series of White Lotus alongside wife Leslie Bibb.
Brit Spider Man actor – and soon-to-be husband of Zendaya – Tom Holland (5ft 7in) came in third place.
Adolescence’s Ashley Walters (5ft 9in) and Stephen Graham (5ft 5in) came in at numbers four and 16 in the top-20 ranking of sexiest short males.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, who stands at 5ft 8in, came a respectful number 18 in the poll – beating Selina Gomez’s fiancé, music producer Benny Blanco.
Short-statured Severance director and Hollywood star Ben Stiller – who’s 5ft 6in tall – also made the top 20.
The study also found height differences in a couple were no barrier to romance.
A total of 72% of those polled said couples where the man is shorter look great together.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum and Tom Holland and Zendaya were among the pairs ranked as lookers despite the women being taller than their fellas.
And nearly half of Brits said physical attributes such as height and weight are not important when it comes to finding love.
The poll also found 66% of us feel the notion of men having to be tall to be desirable was “old-fashioned and outdated”.
