White Lotus fans convinced Blackpink Lisa’s Mook is villain after telling clue

The third season of The White Lotus has just two episodes left, with a dramatic climax still to take place, but fans are wondering what exactly will happen

Fans of The White Lotus are sure Mook, played by Blackpink member and solo sensation Lisa, will turn out to be a villain.

So far in the third season, a lot of focus has been on the weird relationship between the Ratliff brothers. In the latest episode, things went one step further when Lochlan (Sam Nivola) pleasured his brother Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) during a group romp – with even Patrick’s dad Arnold Schwarzenegger reacting online.

But there are plenty of other characters on the show with their own storylines. One character who was introduced very early and has so far seemed to have little storyline, though, is Mook.

Mook is one of the health mentors on the staff at the White Lotus. Lisa, under her real name Lalisa Manobal, is credited among the main cast – but she has largely just been a supporting character in the series so far.

She appears to have somewhat of a romance with Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong), providing light relief from the heavy themes explored in the other characters’ storylines. However theories are running wild that Mook will be involved in the big finale – and they’re suspicious of her.

For starters, there’s the fact that triple threat actress/singer/rapper Lisa is a huge pull for the show. Thanks to her time with Blackpink, she’s toured the globe and performed to millions of fans – and racked up a pretty hefty bank balance.

One TikTok user theorised: “Apparently it was not easy for Mike White, the creator of the show, to get Lisa, as in the Blackpink K-Pop star, to be on the show. She had to have so much security, her net worth is the most out of all the cast, therefore she’s getting paid a lot to be there. It is a hassle for him to get her there.

“So why would she just be irrelevant in the story? I think she might be connected to the necklace that was stolen from the hotel. She might be working with the two security guards, because she was seen speaking to them in episode one and they might be the ones that robbed the hotel.

“Mind you, Gaitok was distracted for the robbery to happen. Yet Mook is doing the same thing. She’s there to distract him.

“I think she has a way more important role than we think.”

Others on Reddit have taken it further, believing Mook is manipulating Gaitok and is actually working with Valentin (Arnas Fedaravicius), another health mentor at the hotel. One user wrote : “I think that snake bracelet we saw is going to end up on Mook because her and Valentin are a thing.”

Another theorised: “I think also her brothers may have been in on it also. I don’t think her and Valentin will necessarily be a romantic couple but I think she could have some connections to organised crime and she is going to manipulate him. He might even die as a result of it.”

Others have suggested the Mook and Gaitok storyline is to “give us a false sense of security” and it will all end in tears.

There’s also the potential hints in the opening credits. The show’s opening title screens often include clues for how the actors’ storylines will play out.

For example, in season two, Jon Gries, who plays Greg, had a man and a woman riding a donkey. This was a nod to the iconic Vespa ride he had with Jennifer Coolidge’s character Tanya.

Meanwhile, on her title card, there was a woman with a monkey on a chain. This was a clear reference to Tanya’s relationship with her assistant Portia.

Looking at Lalisa Manobal’s title card, there are a number of ideas that could come up. It shows a woman holding a parasol, talking to a man who is covering his mouth, while another man is away from them in the corner.

The woman appears to have a flirtatious expression on her face, suggesting Mook’s relationship with Gaitok. But she is also in the shadow of the parasol, suggesting she may be involved in some shady business.
