Lorraine Kelly may have only been co-hosting Good Morning Britain for a few weeks but she’s already stretching her wings.
The British TV veteran has co-hosted a string of episodes of GMB alongside Piers Morgan after usual presenter Susanna Reid was forced to self-isolate for two weeks amid the coronavirus outbreak.
However, in a surprise move on Tuesday’s show Lorraine hosted the show solo from 9am.
Rather than being unable to make it into the studio, Piers did co-host GMB from 6.30am until 9am alongside Susanna who had returned from her time away.
The show was billed as “Good Morning Britain with Lorraine” on the TV schedule planner.

Speculating about the shake-up, one viewer wrote: “So #Lorraine is flying solo today.
“Maybe she’s saving pennies having her set refurbished whilst she borrows the #GMB one?”
Another viewer added: “GMB Where is Piers Morgan? I love him and Lorraine together.”

A third fumed: “No Piers? #Lorraine #GMB.”
The post was signed off with an angry face emoji.
During her solo edition of Good Morning Britain, Lorraine was joined by coronavirus expect Dr Hilary Jones and Coronation Street actress Sally Carman.
Sally, who plays Abi Franklin on the Cobbles, appeared via video link to talk about how she’s been coping in self-isolation.
Sally explained how she has started meditating with he daughter which she says has been great for her mental health.
While Coronation Street filming has been frozen due to the outbreak of Covid-19, Sally has revealed a lot of the actresses on the hit ITV soap have been checking in on each other via a massive WhatsApp group.
