Hollywood actor Ken Osmond, best known for his role of Eddie Haskell in the classic 1950s series Leave It to Beaver, has died at the age of 76, is has been confirmed.
The star passed away on Monday at his home in Los Angeles while surrounded by his closest loved ones and family, according to TMZ.
His cause of death is not yet confirmed.
However, according to Variety, his former Los Angeles Police Department partner Henry Lane said he had suffered from respiratory issues.
The actor started his career as a child in the 1950s but got his big break when he was cast as little Eddie Haskell in Leave It to Beaver.

The US sitcom, which aired in black and white, ran between 1957 and 1963 with six seasons and more than 230 episodes.
It sparked a number of spin-offs such as a 1983 television movie and a sequel series which ran between 1984 and 1989.
Ken reprised his role as Eddie in the spin-offs and played the character in a handful of other series.

Like a number of his co-stars, Ken also appeared in classic series Lassie, made iconic thanks to the adorable dog main character.
He had an uncredited role as a delivery boy in a 1955 episode titled The Rival, and played a minor character called Ralph in 1958 episode The Cub Scout.
Ken returned nine years later as a motorcyclist in a 1967 episode which was called A Matter of Seconds.
As well as Lassie, Ken starred in series such as The Munsters, Rags to Riches, and Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.
His most recent work was as Daniel in 2016 release CHARACTERz.
However Leave It to Beaver was definitely what Ken was best known for, with his character ranking at No20 in TV Guide’s 50 Greatest TV Characters of All Time list in 1999.
