Olivia Attwood claims she was 'offered free puppies' and Molly-Mae was 'conned'

Love Island star Olivia Attwood has claimed she was “offered free puppies” after her stint on the ITV2 show.

The 29-year-old reality star also claimed that Molly-Mae Hague was “conned” after hers and Tommy Fury’s new puppy tragically died.

Tiffany Puppies, the breeder who sold the dog to Tommy and Molly, rigorously disputed that she knowingly sold a sickly puppy claiming she only “works with trusted and reputable breeders”.

The statement said: “I am truly devastated to learn about the death of Mr Chai. He was a beautiful young dog with a loving and playful temperament. I had watched him grow up, having regular video calls with his birth family. My heart goes out to Molly Mae and Tommy at this time.

“Mr Chai was a healthy dog. I only work with trusted people and have a small network of reputable breeders who care for their dogs to the very highest standards and see animals as part of their family.

“I have rigorous processes in place to check animal health and the suitability of forever homes providing support and guidance for health and wellbeing throughout. I have worked with dogs my entire life and this has never happened before.”

After Tiffany Puppies’ statement was released on social media, Olivia, who is also a star of The Only Way Is Essex, took to her Instagram story to speak out against puppy dealers who she accused of profiting from the breeding of “miserable dogs”.

She told her 1.8m followers: “Since I’ve come out of Love Island I’ve literally had breeders like that messaging me, offering me free dogs like they’re a f***ing pair of shoes or something.

“It’s just horrendous, and I really don’t want you guys to go and pile on to Molly and Tommy because it’s not about them, they’ve been conned by one of these establishments.”

The media personality continued: “At the end of the day if the laws were stricter these establishments wouldn’t be able to operate and then you wouldn’t have these kind of stories.

“There is no care in that kind of breeding, taking dogs from third parties is purely a money-making industry, and the mothers of these dogs, well if you do some research, their existence is miserable until they can no longer produce puppies and they’re just basically disposed of.

“So for everyone who’s had a dog from this kind of breeder and goes ‘my dog’s fine’, well good for you, but the whole chain of misery that follows that dog is not fine.”

Olivia shared the video to her social media page, adding a caption saying: “Anyway I’ll shut up now. But just felt I couldn’t not speak out, as I know other people who have been conned by these types of “breeders” and I don’t want to see anyone else spend their hard earned money to be left heartbroken.”

Molly-Mae addressed the loss of her puppy in a YouTube video as she hit back at claims they bought the puppy as a “social media accessory”.

Tommy bought the pooch for the social media influencer’s 21st birthday, and imported the dog from Russia less than a week ago.

The dog, called Mr Chai, sadly died five days after she revealed him to her followers on social media over the weekend.
