First Dates viewers ecstatic as couple get engaged two years after first meeting

First Dates Hotel fans couldn’t help but celebrate last night after one of the show’s most successful couples returned before becoming engaged.

While enjoying a romantic moment on the luxury cabana, relaxing around the pool, Julian got down on one knee.

Popping this question to his beau, he presenter Vanessa with a stunning sapphire stone, one of her favourites.

However, she quickly dropped it and momentarily lost it causing the pair to frantically scramble around on the ground.

Getting cosy and holding hands, Julian proceeded to tell Vanessa that he wanted to commemorate their trip to the famous hotel by purchasing a gift for his girlfriend.

Vanessa instantly became slightly alarmed before managing to find the humorous side while Julian said he had something in a box for her.

He went on to say: “Basically, what I’m trying to say is, Vanessa, I know you like sapphires… and I know you’d like me to go down on one knee, and ask you – will you marry me?”

Lost for words, Vanessa plucked up the strength to exclaim: “Yes, of course, I will. I can’t think of anything I’d love better.”
