Dee later revealed their journey to parenthood had been a “rocky” one, thanking their friends for their show of support as they shared the happy news.

She said: “Just wanted to say thank you so so much for all the lovely messages about our news…

“It’s been a rocky road to get here, so I wanted to send lots of love to any of you who are on that journey.

“Hang on in there. Sending love.”

The sweethearts first met at a TV production company, with Dermot falling head over heels for producer and director Dee.

Dermot later popped the question during a romantic trip to New York, with the two tying the knot in an intimate ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Chiddingstone.
