Bake Off's Paul Hollywood 'invites pub landlady girlfriend to move in with him'

The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood has allegedly asked his new girlfriend to move into his Kent home.

Melissa Spalding, 36, started dating the 54-year-old television star months after his split from Summer Monteys-Fullam, according to The Sun.

The landlady has allegedly been spotted at his Kent home several times in recent weeks while Paul joins the GBBO “bubble” for filming in Essex.

Paul and Melissa were first linked in September last year, reportedly getting to know one another after he split from his girlfriend of two years, Summer.

A source told the publication: “When things started to ease, it was the obvious decision for her to be there more and now it seems as though she has actually moved in.

“Unfortunately, he’s going to be away for a good few weeks. But he and Melissa are really happy together.”

Paul and Melissa have yet to publicly confirm their rumoured relationship.

Daily Star Online has contacted Paul’s representatives for comment.

Splitting in 2017, the celebrity baker was previously married to chef Alexandra, with whom he has a son Josh, 18.

The news comes after it was revealed Paul will be permitted to carry out his famous handshakes with contestants who impress him on GBBO.

His trademark gesture was under threat due to the social distance rules currently in place to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The baking show, which recently resumed filming of its 11th series, has said that it is determined to keep the format as similar as possible to normal despite fears about the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the program has also confirmed that everyone involved in the filming of the upcoming series will be part of an isolation bubble, as well as being subject to regular testing to ensure everyone’s safety.

According to The Sun, contestants and crew were required to isolate prior to appearing on the show and filming is taking place in a remote location for added safety.

Bake Off is due to return to our screens later this year with new host Matt Lucas.

Matt will join co-host Noel Fielding following the departure of Sandi Toksvig.

Paul’s fellow judge Prue Leith is expected to return despite being “at risk,” due to her age of 80.
