Sunday Brunch returned to our screens this morning and singer Frankie Bridge got more than she bargained when she visited the famous kitchen.
The Saturdays band member, 31, was a guest on today’s show and she let out a huge scream as Simon Rimmer’s latest dish caught fire during today’s edition of the Channel 4 show.
Chef Simon cooked Texas roadhouse steak with bourbon-glazed carrots and was caught off guard when it suddenly got extremely hot in the kitchen.
The Sunday Brunch host said: “So, in goes the booze and you just…woah.”
Simon’s loud yell and the flame made mother-of-two Frankie jump.
After managing to get it back under control, Frankie asked Simon: “Did you mean to do that?”
Simon, 57, replied: “Yeah it’s booze you want to burn off the alcohol….” before admitting: “No, I didn’t mean to do that.”
Despite trying to carry on as normal, Simon’s co-host Tim Lovejoy noticed the carrots were still on fire.
He asked: “Will that ever go out though?”
Simon assured him it would, before trying to blow out the fire himself.
Channel 4 viewers were left in stitches over the amusing kitchen blunder, as one fan penned: “Simon’s kitchen is on fire today lol.”
Another added: “Don’t set the kitchen on fire, Rimmer!”
Frankie, who is married to former footballer Wayne Bridge, went on to test out burgers and opened up to the hosts about her new podcast.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star explained she felt it was incredibly important to help those suffering in silence to open up about their mental health.
Simon and Tom also welcomed former EastEnders actor Himesh Patel onto the show this morning to talk about his new film Tenet.
Himesh played Tamwar Masood in the BBC One soap from 2007 to 2016 and went on to star in the 2019 musical romantic comedy film, Yesterday.
Sunday Brunch airs Sunday on Channel 4 at 9.30am
