UK house music legend DJ Phil Asher has reportedly died aged 50.
The tragic news came on Friday as tributes poured in from fellow DJs, music industry figures and loved ones.
He died from a heart attack on Thursday 21st January, reports Juno Daily.
Asher began his career working in record shops across London before becoming a DJ.
As well as DJing, Phil also produced music and released records under aliases Phlash and Focus.
He co-founded West London’s Co-op club with Dego, Demus, G-Force, and IG Culture in 2000.
Asher first became interested in the world of music as a teenager as his father, who worked in a record shop, would bring home new records for him to listen to.

Tributes flooded in for the DJing star after fans, friends and fellow musicians heard the sad news.
Fabio wrote: “Heartbreaking to hear about the death of @philasher Genuinely one the most talented and nicest people I have met in the music business, sending my condolences out to his close friends and family.”
While Jumping Jack Frost penned: “Rest in peace my dear friend Phil Asher.. When I was coming up you always had time for me and you was a lovely kind guy.. My thoughts are with your family and friend’s right now. I’m absolutely gutted.”
Mark Farina said: “RIP Phil Asher. A really nice guy that made lots of great music.”
Alexander Nut wrote: “Rest easy King. Awful news to hear of the passing of Phil Asher. An absolute legend and a gentleman.
“A humble soul whose music helped shape the world and inspired so many. Myself included.
“Thoughts are with his family and friends. He lives on through his music and influence.”
