Emmerdale's Paul kidnap horror, Gabby baby paternity mystery and divorce fears

Emmerdale is set to bring plenty of drama – perhaps even more than normal – next week, with a number of high-intensity storylines.

From a terrifying kidnapping plot, to a shock pregnancy, with a sprinkling of a potential divorce, the ITV soap has it all.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed that there is drama in every corner of the Yorkshire village, with the likes of Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) left scrambling, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) hurt by Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln), and Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) dealing with some difficult feelings.

But what will have happened by the time the week comes to a close?

Paul kidnap horror

Paul is kidnapped after failing to come up with the cash for Connor

Connor turns up at the scrapyard and Paul (Reece Dinsdale) tries to come up with an excuse, as he knows he’s short on the money he owes.

He’s told his time is up, and Connor waves a metal bar, leaving Paul fearing for his life.

Mandy gets a voicemail from Paul who says he’s in trouble, and she rushes to him, when she sees him being kidnapped by Connor.

Connor demands that Mandy pays £4,000 as a ransom if she wants to see Paul alive again.

Mandy somehow gets a bag of cash – but will she get Paul back?

She scrambles to get the cash together and tries to get more time after failing to get enough, but the kidnappers demand the full payment.

The next day, Mandy reveals a bag full of cash but is reluctant to tell her family where it’s come from.

Heading out with a cricket bat, Mandy is determined to get Paul back.

Pulling up at a lay-by, Connor comes out of a van with a balaclava – will Mandy pay the money, and will Paul be released?

Gabby baby paternity mystery

Gabby discovers she’s pregnant

Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is concerned to see Gabby looking upset, but she tries to play it off as though everything is fine.

Gabby tries to speak to Jamie after their one-night-stand, but he shoots her down and says it was a drunken mistake.

The next day, she tells Laurel she thinks she’s pregnant and, after taking a test, is shocked to discover it’s positive.

Jamie tells Gabby their hook-up was a drunken mistake

Gabby refuses to tell Laurel who the father is though, saying he wouldn’t want anything to do with the baby.

Laurel reassures her that she won’t be alone, and that she should tell the dad as he might surprise her.

Elsewhere, Jamie tells Paddy (Dominic Brunt) about his feelings for Dawn (Olivia Bromley) and says it won’t affect the business.

But soon, Gabby approaches Jamie – will she tell him she’s pregnant?

Divorce fears for Rishi and Manpreet

Will Rishi give his marriage to Manpreet another go?

Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) tries to talk to Rishi but he makes an excuse and leaves.

Later on, she spots Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and runs away in tears.

He catches up with her and says they’re going to keep bumping into each other, so they should move past their history.

Manpreet explains she’s fighting to save her marriage and Charles encourages her to keep going with it.

But Rishi sees them talking and is left shaken.

The next day, Meena (Paige Sandhu) tells Rishi he should forgive Manpreet.

Manpreet is left horrified by Meena’s bluntness and tries to speak to Rishi herself, but he says he can’t trust her after he saw her talking to Charles.

Charles tries to convince Rishi to rebuild things with Manpreet too – will he have a change of heart?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm, with an extra episode Thursdays at 8pm, on ITV
