Lorraine Kelly has openly spoke out about being upset with Covid-19 rule breakers because of Kate Garraway’s continued suffering.
Due to the extent of her friends situation, the 61-year-old admitted that she couldn’t help but now feel annoyed with anyone who opted to flout the law when it came to the coronavirus.
Kate’s husband Derek Draper was rushed to hospital almost a year ago after contracting the virus with doctors needing to put him into an induced coma if he had any hope of survival.
Fortunately Derek no longer has the coronavirus but still remains in the hands of doctors as he begins his recovery process which is still an uphill battle.

The Good Morning Britain star’s husband was left with holes in his lungs after coming into contact with a serious strain of the disease.
Derek is far from out of the woods yet and still needs around-the-clock treatment, as Piers Morgan revealed that Kate has been warned by doctors that Derek may never wake up.
Standing by her friend who has been holding the fort as a single working parent, Lorraine has now developed a low tolerance for those who disobey lockdown restrictions as she knows the dangers all too well.

The TV chat show host told OK! magazine: “When I interviewed Kate she was able to come to the studios because we’re all in a bubble at work.
“But we were talking about Derek and I just wanted to give her a big cuddle.
“Because of what happened to her, it brought it home to all of us at work just how serious this is.
“That’s why I get so upset when I see people having raves and not wearing their masks, and all of these crazy theorists who say the pandemic’s not a real thing.

Kate had taken some time time out from GMB recently after she told viewers that everything had caught up with her, explaining that the “roosters had came home to roost”.
The mum-of-two had been left feeling blue after she’d not been able to see her husband since Christmas due to restrictions while she understood the importance it didn’t make things any easier.
Speaking about her chum, Lorraine added: “Honestly, she is the bravest girl. I don’t know how she does it.
“We’ve known each other for years and I’ve always really liked her because, obviously, she’s lovely, but she is also a steel magnolia. She’s been incredible.
“She says she’s not doing anything that anybody else wouldn’t do but I’m not so sure about that. I think she’s remarkable.
“And, of course, she says she’s got to keep going for the kids. That’s the most important thing but it’s been hard. She’s amazing.”
