Britain’s Got Talent babe Amanda Holden has revealed she had her Covid vaccine weeks ago.
Amanda, who turned 50 on February 16, managed to get the jab well ahead of those in her age bracket after her local hospital was throwing out surplus stock.
A report in the i newspaper on Monday said that the government hopes that everyone over 50 will be invited to book a jab via the NHS website by the end of this week.
If the target is met, the feat will mean that the UK has passed the threshold of reaching half of all adults.

Amanda said: “I’ve had enough of it [lockdown] now.
“I feel like everyone is getting their jabs. We have all been really good and now let’s move.
“I was lucky. I had a hospital that… I got a call because they were chucking out the Pfizer ones.
“So I had my jab a few weeks ago. I had absolutely no problems.”
The Heart Radio Breakfast host continued: “I think some hospitals put them in the bin don’t they because they have to be at a certain temperature.
“It sort of went out and I just dashed down there within the hour and I just got it done.
“It just felt like someone had punched me in the arm.”
Amanda cheekily added: “You’re not supposed to drink on it I don’t think, but I knocked back a couple of paracetamol with a bit of rosé but please don’t follow my example.”

On Monday the EU ignited a row with the UK after temporally banning the AstraZeneca jab amid unfounded fears it could cause blood-clots.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged countries not to pause their already slow vaccine rollouts – insisting the jab is safe to us.
AstraZeneca have said that after around 17 million people in the UK and the EU there have been fewer of 40 cases of blood clots reported.
These cases have not yet been confirmed to be linked to the vaccine.
