Lorraine viewers were not happy on Wednesday morning following a segment featuring multi-million pound homes across the world.
Television presenter Cat Deeley is filling in for main host Lorraine Kelly on the ITV talk show this week as she enjoys the Easter holidays.
Cat, 44, chatted to showbiz correspondent Ross King during the latest instalment of the ITV morning show.
The pair chatted about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s latest Netflix show but conversation quickly turned to the lavish homes up for sale across the pond.
Ross, 59, showed a series of different mansions owned by celebrities which are currently on the market in a game they called Ross’ Real Estate.
However, the light-hearted Selling Sunset-inspired segment didn’t go down well with viewers at home.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Why do they insist on showing us millionaires houses, giving the current situation.”
“Why the fu*k are they showing us multi million pound celebrity properties when so many ppl are struggling financial hardship in a global pandemic?,” another added.
While a third person moaned: “What is the point in this?”
A fourth viewer ranted: “Celebrating the obscene riches of the billionaire Kardashians is not what we want to hear about when people are being forced on to the dole queue simply because of the Covid virus.”
Cat’s appearance on Lorraine came weeks after viewers were full of praise for her highly anticipated reunion with Ant and Dec for a special edition of CHUMS on Saturday Night Takeaway, with fans blown away by her flawless appearance.
And, as she appeared on our screens looking equally as glam on Monday, many people watching at home begged ITV to give her a permanent job, as a certain Geordie duo also sent a message of encouragement to be played in the studio.
One tweeted: “Cat Deeley is class. She needs her own show. Come on ITV, get on the case!”
Echoing those exact sentiments, another posted: “Love, love, love #CatDeeley ! Keep her permanently please!” and a third reacted: “catdeeley on the box. In for #lorraine Hope this become a permanent fixture!”
