The 2021 EE BAFTAs are here and while things may be different due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, one thing we can count on is glitz and glamor.
In what is being billed as a one off change due to social distancing rules, the ceremony is being split across April 10 and 11 – with Clara Amfo hosting day one with eight awards.
Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman will present the rest from the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
The awards will air on BBC One at 7pm on Sunday April 11 after a special live augmented reality set by Liam Payne thanks to partners EE and their 5G network.
With a red carpet for 2021 out of the question, here we look back at some of the hottest BAFTA looks we have seen over the years.
Angelina Jolie, 2018
In 2018, Hollywood icon Angelina Jolie stunned in velvet gown.
In keeping with the Time’s Up campaign, the Ralph & Russo number was all-black but featured a strapless design.
Scooping down her chest into an asymmetrical sweetheart neckline, the outfit allowed Angelina to show off her infamous sex appeal while keeping her look as sophisticated as ever.
The gown also included a large single slit up the side to let her killer pins demand attention.
Adding classic Hollywood glamour, Angelina completed her look with diamond chandelier earrings.
Scarlett Johansson, 2020
Scarlett Johansson opted for one of the most daring BAFTA looks of all time in 2020.
The Jojo Rabbit nominated actress wore a custom Versace gown which packed on the sex appeal often associated with the Italian fashion house.
Bright pink and covered in metallic detailing, the sleeveless number caused Scarlett to literally sparkle in front of the world’s cameras.
Sporting a neckline which almost plunged to her navel, the gown exposed her naked chest and intimate body inking as she walked the red carpet in London.
As well as the neckline, the bodice included cut-out sections either side to tease her trim frame.
Meanwhile, the single slit skirt featured long pink feathering which cascaded down her legs and into a short train.
ScarJo completed her look by adding a pair of open-toed gold sandals and jewels from Nikos Koulis.
Sophie Turner, 2017
In 2017, Game Of Thrones beauty Sophie Turner dared to bare in a metallic gown by Louis Vuitton.
Featuring a black sequinned bodice, the gown courted attention thanks to its plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.
She cinched in her already petite waist with a black and silver studded belt while the silver skirt gently blew in the breeze.
The X Men: Apocalypse actress drew attention to her naked chest by wearing a silver heart shaped pendant.
Maya Jama, 2019
In 2019, former Radio One presenter Maya Jama stunned in an eye-popping semi-sheer lace gown.
Demanding attention, the then 24-year-old put on the most provocative display of the night with her Aadnevik number.
Oozing gothic glamour, the look barely kept Maya’s modesty in check as she worked her magic on the red carpet.
With nothing but carefully placed floral detailing over her most intimate regions, Maya shattered thermometers despite the chilly February weather.
Stormzy’s ex completed her look with a pair of statement drop earrings and by wearing heels by Jimmy Choo.
Jennifer Lawrence, 2011
Way back in 2011, Hunger Games Actress Jennifer Lawrence stole the show despite not being nominated.
The starlet turned to British designer Stella McCartney for her look and boy, did she deliver.
While the dark blue skirt of her gown was classic red carpet glamour, the bodice turned things up.
Covered in intricate embroidered detailing, the corset style design was made out of sheer fabric, meaning it teased Jen’s trim frame.
With a plunging strapless design, the look pushed up the star’s chest to allow her to put her cleavage centre stage.
Jen completed her look with a simple black and silver choker.
Laura Whitmore, 2016
In 2016, former MTV regular Laura Whitmore teamed up with EE to host the live red carpet coverage of the BAFTAs.
The blonde babe stunned in a bespoke Suzanne Neville gown.
The figure-hugging satin crepe allowed Laura to cut a dramatic figure as she kicked off the VIP evening.
While it had a choker style neckline, the number included a large cut out front making Laura’s chest the centre of attention.
